Since the novel coronavirus broke out, people all over the country have been in a highly stressful state and shown deeper concerns to the epidemic. Wearing masks has become everyone's daily posture.

Currently, what attracts the most attention, besides general disposable medical masks, is the N95 and KN95 mask. So what exactly are the differences between N95 mask and KN95 mask?

It's said by medical experts that KN95 is the mask that can filter out more than 95% of particles larger than 0.3 microns, same as N95 mask, while the former is universally called in China, the latter is tested by the United States. Their main difference is the testing standard followed by different countries.

Actually, KN95 mask and N95 mask are the same in terms of particulate filtering efficiency. However, it should be noted that medical protective masks for medical personnel, especially those in direct contact with novel coronavirus pneumonia, are one of the N95 mask, but not all N95 masks are medical protective masks.

More specifically, both KN95 and N95 mask consists of medical and non-medical types. Only those KN95 / N95 masks with "Medical" logo can be used to protect medical staff from the epidemic. Masks without "Medical" logo are not recommended for medical staff, but ordinary people can use. And those masks that comply with GB19083 class 1 and above standards can not only filter out more than 95% of particles, but also prevent the penetration of liquids, thus it can be used in various operations of medical institutions.
