Pros: Small price, cheaper than Nikon Flash. perfect quality for this price. Very good packing. Have good soft case for protection. Not problem with delivery.

Cons: Not good battery cover. Difficult to close it. Can be broken if it's close not carefully.

Other: The only one thing that is not good is battery cover. It's close very difficult. Must be very careful when close it. It's possible to be broken.

Pros: Best price in the segment of flash for beginners. Excellent quality of materials. Diffuser and reflector work. TTL is not wrong even once. To the best of a very practical and powerful flash. AF illuminator helps. Batteries will last a long time. recharges quickly

Cons: Deficiencies are not found, there was no time to flash me disappointed or let down. About the battery compartment to have said, but if you handle it carefully, it will last a long time without problems.

    Other: Great product, thanks DX

  • This is an excelent offer, don´t miss it

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Really, really cheap, an incredible bargain considering the price and the utility of this flash. Unless you are a pro or an advanced amateur photographer, this flash is an excelente option, perhaps doesn´t have a lot of options o menues, but you really don´t need these in 90% percent of the photos. I use it in a D70, a it does his job perfect.

Cons: The battery tap seems to be very weak, I'm afraid it won't last. The quality materials mey be better, but for the price, I can´t complain too much.

Other: An excellent bargain, one of the best products/offers in the entire site.

  • Great deal

Pros: In photography it's often said that you have what you pay for... If you are not a demanding photo expert, and wants to improve a flash pictures on family dinners, or during picnics with the kids, this product will serve you very well.

Cons: The finish is not the best and the battery compartment seems more fragile than an eggshell. The impression I get every time I place or remove the batteries is that I'll have the cap broken in my hand.

Other: Specially if you consider that a Nikon entry level flash costs approximately 10 times more than this one, I'd say do not hesitate or think twice.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very cheap (you can have 3 of YN for the price of Nikon SB600); you will look like a pro for little money as well as Nikon SB600; TTL; quite powerful; AF assist light; Batteries last long

Cons: AF assist light seems to not work in some cases (maybe it's fault of my Nikon D60?); no zoom; The highest power level may cause heating and overheating. (No problems outside)

Other: Highly recommended item. I think I will have another soon. (At least one) Great of camera flash. (If you have triggers)

  • Quite good and cheap flash for Nikon

posted by gwizard on 01:58:17 G9T 02/09/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Surprisingly good build quality
    - Does what it says
    - Cheap, compared to brand

Cons: - Battery door is a bit flimsy when opened
    - If flash is off, it still shoots and then you cannot turn it on again until you get the batteries out (hard reset).

Other: If you need a cheap flash for amateur use - BUY!

  • YONGNUO YN465 Speedlite Nikon TTL

posted by Xlerate on 21:03:36 G8T 18/08/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -CHEAP! -Nikon TTL -Build quality better than expected -Versatile flash tilt and swivel -AF assist seems to work -Decent recycle time (very fast at lower settings and about 3-5 seconds at highest with fresh Eneloops)

Cons: -Not the brightest flash around

Other: This flash is about the cheapest thing you can do to improve your pictures. The flash has a nice clean look compared to many off brands I have seen. Appears to be a little dimmer than the Nikon SB flashes, but still an able flash (and you can buy several for the price of Nikon's cheapest flash!) I haven't found anything to complain about especially considering the price point. This type of flash GREATLY increases the quality of your pictures. Nothing better a casual/hobbiest photographer can get to take nicer photos for the price!

  • Great flash!

posted by Mugenkun on 12:21:09 G7T 23/07/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Works pretty good with my Nikon D60, has TTL, Manual flash level control, diffuser and bounce card.
The head turns perfectly and feels pretty solid.

Cons: Could be a little more powerful, but it's not really a con.
The battery cover door is a little difficult to close with the batteries on, and fells like it could break easily.

Other: For a starter into flash photography, I'm very satisfied with this one, cheap, simple and functional.

  • Works like a charm.

    posted by SaerX2 on 00:37:29 G4T 02/04/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - tilt and swivel range is good - automatic i-TTL and full manual - full power seems to be available in automatic mode also (many flashguns don't support this) - simple, intuitive interface - mechanically identical to YN-460 (of which I already have three)

Cons: - could be a little more powerful - the battery cover door could be a little easier to use, but it's still fairly good (better than many I've seen before)

Other: It's cheap, it's built extremely well and it just works. If it had high speed sync and CLS, it'd be as good as the Nikon SB-600, but since I've never needed such functions in real life, I don't really see that as a problem. You can, after all, buy 4 of these for the price of one SB-600. I'll probably buy one more, just to have a back-up during paid gigs.
