  • Good clamp.

Pros: Useful, it works as it should, very cheap price. You can rotate it and adjust how strong it holds up when you rotate it. The hole for the screw is good and hasn't been wearing off.

Cons: The plastic looks a little cheap, it also does a strange clicking noise when you open it all the way, as if something inside came loose.

Other: Get this if you need a clamp for your tripod that can hold small things.

Pros: Useful low cost clamp that's fine for holding reflectors etc Opens wide enough for most things Nice simple design Light weight and small

Cons: Not very strong or durable (but what do you expect for 2.7 with free shipping). Could have a stronger clamping mechanism or rubber gripps

Other: If you're looking to hold something heavy or valuable these aren't for you - if you want to put up a shade or flashlight these are fine and great value

Pros: Very cheap. The plastic is lightweight but decent and sturdy. It's extremely useful and no wonder people hunt for this little tool.

Cons: I see no cons for this product. The plastic looks like it might not survive a decade, but it really doesn't matter.

Other: If you need to hold a not so heavy piece of stick-like object such as a flashlight, laser or even a test tube or anything like that, buy this. It's very cheap and quite impossible to find in shops. Even if you find it, it's overpriced.

Pros: Its a good product for lots of applications. i use it for fotography to point with flashlights or laserpoiners to a exact point during long shutter speeds.

Cons: build quality isnt that good. i ordered 2 pieces, and one of them didnt get tight by screwing it to the tripod. So better order 2 or 3 pieces ;-)

Other: There are lot of applications - something for everyone. So a absolutely musthave. Cause the diffrent build quality, i recommend to order at least 2 pieces. No problem at this price, no?

Pros: This adjustable clamp mount fit my mini tripod, held Sipik flashlight well that flashlight didn't fall. I no longer need to look for places where and how to position it and instead use this clamp mount with my mini tripod.

Cons: Haven't used it yet for long period but it is a bit loose as flashlight can be spun a little however it won't fall.

Other: This will be good enough helping hand to light work area in home DIY so I won't need to find and figure adequate positioning or pester anyone to hold flashlight for me.

Pros: These are very nice. I made handheld lasers out of the Aurora C6 DIY host and bought these to hold them. They fit the C6 hosts perfectly. They are made of very hard plastic (feels strong) with nice springs. These feel like they should hold up for a while!

Cons: The clips are a little off-center. One of the clips over-laps the other when they close all the way, but they still seem to function fine. These were the only clips that I could find for the tripods, and at this price I would say it's a good deal!

    Other: Buy it

Pros: strong, plastic seems to be solid and durable usefull for holding items, background etc. - anything you can imagine universal screw, you can use it with any tripod

Cons: fells cheap build, but as I mentioned, it seems to be durable I was not able to tighten knee, you have to use force edges are sharp and it doesn't look nice

Other: Very usefull in studio, you always need someone to hold studio equipment. I will buy another one soon, worth the money.

  • Good cheap universal mic clamp

posted by Zoop on 07:34:56 G8T 21/08/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very cheap and hold object up to almost 4 centimeters diameter. For the money its real sturdy enough. Easy to mix in your d.i.y. projects with other props. (I mixed it with other part to clamp LED light on a mic stand for filming.

Cons: Not the standard mic mount screw diameter. Probably a camera mount screw type (Idid not check) Not intended to lift heavy payload, but normal mics will do fine

Other: If you now how to use it (not as a regular mic clamp) an OK product.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Very simple and cheap.
Perfect for clamping and orienting small photo reflectors.
Thread it to a tripod to hold reflectors (20(ish) inches). Holding bigger ones might be possible, haven’t tested that .
It can also be used to hold a small boom arm and other random objects.
    The spring is strong.

Cons: Quality of the clamp itself is not very good, it is somewhat sharp and could damage fragile objects.
I think the price is a bit high, for what it is.

Other: Apart from the refereed cons, the clamp is well built, solid and with a bit of DYI, could substitute a super clamp for lighter objects.
Although the quality isn't very high it doesn't look like that.
