  • Awesome little flashlight

    posted by Paddy809 on 13:02:49 G5T 19/05/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Its compact and very bright. Well made and neatly finished. I have been using it as my GO BAG flashlight and very impressed so far. While not for duty use I use it as a cheap expendable flashlight and so far so good.

Cons: It has no memory. It changes to the next setting as you turn it on. However, once you know about it its minor.

Other: Excellent little flashlight. WHy pay for hugely expensive flashlights when these are great around the house and car.

  • Great Little Torch!

posted by henioslaw on 07:41:08 G11T 26/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - really great torch - small, very usefull, handy - reliable - 5 modes with memory - really bright from one AA Eneloop - over an hour runtime in high mode

Cons: - S.O.S mode not usefull at all - slow strobe is really slow, fast is really fast, maybe one middle strobe mode may be a better choice - a little hot after long runtime in high mode (but it is small so it is normal)

Other: I needed small, handy flashlight that uses popular AA battery and this is really great. Other 18650 flashlight are much bigger and need dedicated cell, this can be used either with alkaline AA battery or rechargeable cell. With Eneloop works great. Highly Recommend!

  • Not Bad - Recommend

posted by wowexciting on 23:46:31 G7T 31/07/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: 1 AA battery lasts quite a while. Can use NiMH batteries. Never tried using Li-Ion, as those batteries cost a bit more than a normal AA. Can be dropped. Can be (gently) hand-washed.

Cons: The clicker could be slightly better. Broke after 9 months (see below). Clicker doesn't seem to support memory. Have to go down to low mode each time. Threads aren't the greatest. It's not that bad. Compared to my Fenix the threads are crap.

Other: I'd would recommend it to anyone. Beats any cheap LED flashlight. So much better than the ones that use 3xAAA.

  • Good budget light

    posted by fallenangel385 on 14:37:16 G4T 08/04/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cheap light. Good use as a EDC light. Good rate between spot and spill. Defiantly not a 320 lumen, not even close. It is something about 45 lumen. I have compare it with my Fenix ld10 r5.

Cons: As the battery goes away you can see that it dimmers. Changing between mod can be a pain in the ass. Fails with Li-Ion. Screw treads were also pretty sharp and I think some sanding down would have greatly helped.

Other: All in all i would recommend it because it is a very good ratio between spent money and performance of a flashlight.

  • Great Flashlight

Pros: Spanish: - Es pequeña ideal para el bolsillo - Ilumina 150m con AA 1,5V Ni-Mh - Es un material resistente a la buena por el precio que tiene. English: - It is small ideal for pocket - Light 150m with a 1.5V Ni-Mh battery - It is resistant material good for the price we have

Cons: Spanish: - La calidad de la correa de mano es pobre - Interruptor suave debe ser presionado bien en el medio - Los hilos de la rosca se suelen cruzar - La función de estroboscopica lento considero que es inútil English: - Hand Strap poor quality - Smooth switch must be pressed right on the middle to turn on the light - The threads are usually cross - The slow strobe function consider it useless

Other: Spanish: -Compren no se van a arrepentir English: -Buy it not going to regret.

  • Good budget light

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cheap, well built and very useful EDC size flashlight. On a single alkaline AA it gives pretty good run times at medium brightness and great runtimes at low. Workmanship is very clean and neat and from what I can see when taking it apart quite well made.
Like that it runs on a single AA and is relatively floody. It can tailstand (although the tail switch on mine bumps out just so slightly that it contributes to a slight instability it still works). Very bright on fresh batteries - but definitely not 350 lumens. More like 80-90 lumens.

Cons: Does not accept Lithium batteries although I did not personally try; I needed the light for an upcoming travel and did not have time to wait for a refund. Not a big negative for me since I do not use them but granted that was what it was advertised to do!
I was also missing the supposed lanyard when it arrived.
Screw treads were also pretty sharp and I think some sanding down would have greatly helped.

Other: Recommended buy. Just don't use lithium batteries.

  • Good on NiMH, Bad on Li-Ion

posted by Albertosoto on 11:42:06 G10T 29/10/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cree R5 + Smooth reflector, nice hotspot. Good compromise between flood and throw. Multi-Mode. Slow strobe is nice for biking.

Cons: Fails with Li-Ion. Won't work after that if you don't change the driver. On one of the units, the threads on the head where tottally destroyed from manufacturer.

Other: Don't order it if you are Lithium adicted!! It will break your heart!!!

  • Best flashlight for 14500

posted by friend on 08:35:48 G9T 01/09/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - nice finish, great look - flat button, possible to use as candle - AA accu NiMH very low light - AA battery 1,5V good for home use - 14500 maximum fun light, more light than my old wf502b

Cons: - fast strobe is very fun - slow strobe is too slow for bike... 5 modes is better choice (SOS delete)

Other: Neg: - tiny sound in LOW mode Positive: - this unit replaces more flashlights on 18650, brighter and better I am very happy with your purchase.

Pros: Small footprint with a very bright LED. Good aluminum body quality.

Cons: IMPORTANT: Dont work with 14500 battery! I bought 2 and both toasted the driver with just a feel minutes of use with 14500 battery.

Other: One week after I have ignored the boost circuit Its still working normally.

  • Great flashlight

posted by opticsforhire on 15:19:14 G8T 12/08/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Very bright flashlight with AA battery.
    - My flashlight sample store last mode in memory.
When I off and on - last mode appear. This is good.
    - Work 80 minutes at HIGH mode with 2850 NiMH AA battery
    - Spot shape is excellent
    - Temperature of case is about 40 degree.

Cons: - 6 modes are too much. I think 3 strobe mode is useless.
    - Strap band seems fragile

Other: Excellent device for everyday use.
