Pros: I have had 4 Lithium chargers and 9 NiMH battery charges and this is the best. It charges two batteries independently and to different voltages. This allows me to use batteries of different chemistry and it also has different charge rates. I generally slow charge my cells to keep the temperature down and the overall life of the cell high but I love the thought of moving up to the higher charge level if I needed to top of a cell in a hurry. There are times when I discover that my wife put away discharged 18650 cells and we are going on a long night bike ride and we need every cell we have. Its then I move the switch to the higher charge level. The contacts seem to be gold plated for good corrosion resistance. The charge lights blink red then go green when each cell is done.

Cons: It is much more money than a single cell charger or a single voltage dual charger.

Other: I'm glad I got mine and am working it pretty hard with no issues.

  • Good universal charger

posted by MarG on 12:43:39 G10T 16/10/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - this is a very good universal Li-ion battery charger - can charge any battery, 3,2V to 3,7V, of any size - can charge with variable currents - lightweight, durable - charges all batteries to full charge - can charge one or two batteries (different size, same voltage) at a time

Cons: - the pin contacts were quite bad, but with easy mod + soldering it is working like a charm! - there is only US plug, but just use it with US to EU plug converter (98 cents)

Other: If you have any li-ion battery, this charger is a must! It is very good, easily charges batteries. You should mod it by soldering wires to both rails under the plastic cover.

Pros: Versatile Two voltage settings Two charge rate settings

Cons: May require modification to charge some batteries.

Other: Great charger for the price, as long as you don't need it in a hurry. Took about a month to get the first one in Washington state, the second one took 1.5 months to receive.

  • Great battery charger!

posted by tylermcdermott on 13:12:25 G7T 01/07/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -Great value battery charger for this price.
-This charger will charge just about any rechargeable lithium battery you can fit in it if you know how to properly use it.
-Has the ability to switch between 3.2v and 3.7v by a switch on the side.
-Has the ability to switch between mA ratings by a switch on the side.
-The charging cable is detachable for easy transport and storage.

Cons: -Like most lower cost items from china the English manual is not very clear. It's very easy to misinterpret what the instructions are.
-The plastic on the battery charging unit feels cheap and of low quality.
-The switches on the side of the unit feel flimsy and not well secured.
-The spring loaded locking arms are not well constructed and the pointed tips can sometimes impress a small dimple on the batteries.

Other: Overall I would recommend this charger. For the cost of the unit and the vast array of batteries your able to charge with it the deal is worth it. Just use caution when loading batteries onto it. Also if you don't fully understand the instructions and what settings to use I suggest finding help online before simply guessing as it's possible to explode certain batteries under the wrong settings.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The build quality is so bad , the plastic is weak and can easily break, sometimes it does not charge to 4.2v it charges to 4.17v

Cons: the inside build quality should be better to hold the batteries tight, my charger broke from the inside i had to glue it, the spring holder inside the charger broke by it self, also it get warm fast I am not sure if it safe to leave it unattended you still have to baby sit this charger it does not support 12v adapter so you can not use it in car

Other: There are much better chargers than this one, waste of money, not recommended, expensive for the quality

  • Tricky with IMR (LiMn) 3.7v cells

posted by TorchAddict on 13:19:20 G1T 30/01/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Fits all cell sizes from CR2 to 32670 Charges LiFePO4 and Li-Ion* Inexpensive Cuts off charge to avoid overcharging Charges two cells at once (sort of)* So much nicer for large cell sizes than using magnets and wires or homemade carriers to charge them in.

Cons: Does not work as well with low internal resistance 3.7V cells like AW IMR cells and Sony 26650VT cells, compared to traditional LiCo chem Li-Ion cells. When using IMR cells, the charge lights would instantly turn green if two cells were placed on the charger at the same time or if 650mA charge mode was selected. I'd have to charge one IMR at a time in 300mA mode. Even with only one cell, I'd have to "trick" this charger by placing a LiCo cell on it first and then switch it for an IMR cell to keep the LED from turning Green almost instantly.

Other: IMR (LiMn) and LiNiCoMn 3.7V cells are this charger's weakness. Aside from the special measures needed to be taken to charge those cells(described in the cons section of this review), this is a great universal Lithium cell charger. If you have LiFePO4 cells in 18650 size or A123 26650 cells or UltraFire 3.2V 32600 or 25500 cells, then this charger is the perfect cheap charger for them.

posted by unrealspeed on 03:59:46 G12T 24/12/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Very good charger that can charge most Lithium batteries - has two different settings for input mah which is very good so that it does not take forever to load for example 18 650 - two voltage settings for Li-ion and li-po - built-in peak cutout so you do not have to sit and watch when it is full - Excellent mechanism for charging various types of batteries

Cons: - spring mechanism to load multiple batteries is a bit sluggish, so it does not go back to original position - comes with a 120V U.S. plug

Other: - can recommend this charger

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - compatible with most of LiFe and Li-ion batteries - can be powered from 100 to 240V (US to Europe) - implemented auto-cut-off protection - buil in timer (6 hours as stated in manual) - easy to understand charging lights - green - OK, red - charging, so easy - selectable current 300 or 650mA - can be used from smallest to biggest capacities - selectable voltage for Li-Fe and Li-pol (3,7 and 3,2V) - two separate channels, can charge two diferent batteries in the same time.

Cons: - plastic seems a little too thin

Other: Ordered second one for my father as well. I´m happy so far, he will be too.
