  • Good chager except for protected IC lithium Ion Batteries

posted by Illyusha on 12:16:01 G11T 20/11/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Safe charger that seems to contain circuitry to prevent over charging rechargeable lithium ion batteries.

Cons: This battery charger although it says it will work with both protected and unprotected lithium ion batteries I found that not true. It will not charge protected lithium ion batteries to full capacity. It should however work well and safely on non protected lithium ion batteries.

Other: Use this charger for the cheaper unprotected lithium ion batteries to prevent overcharge. To charge protected lithium ion batteries to full capacity 4.25V such as the Trustfire black with yellow flame 14500 battery don't use this charger. Use a cheap $2 charger insead.

  • It is a good charger for a really good price.

Pros: Very easy to use. Have lights to indicate the charge state. It stops automatically when charging is complete. I have not heard any noise during the charge. Both the charger and the battery does not get hot.

Cons: I tested the charger with a 18650 battery. It costs a bit to put the battery. While charging gives 4 volts and only 260 mAh, this makes take many hours to charge a battery. You can see it on the pictures. You can see the measurements in the pictures.

Other: Would be nice to offer the possibility to choose the type of wall plug socket.

Pros: Automatic charging. it it safe to just leave the battery in the unit for long periods of time. It has and LED Light that changes color to indicate full charge

Cons: Charges only one battery at a time. Takes up one plug per charging battery

Other: Hey If you are only buying a few batteries and you don't mind your batteries waiting in line to charge than you should buy this and save yourself a buck. it just works.

Pros: Good battery charger for a cheap price. Displays different modes (charged, charging, battery in wrong, etc.) Handles different sized batteries.

Cons: Making a high pitched whining noise when plugged in but not charging. You may not notice it.

Other: Good basic inexpensive charger for the money.

  • Great!

Pros: This is a very good quality battery charger. It charges the batteries perfectly. It hasn't fried up any of my batteries yet (something my other charger did do). It has a good charge time on my TrustFire batteries.

Cons: I live in Europe and forgot to check the connector, so I had to use a power converter plug to change 230V to 110V.

Other: Great charger for US residents. European residents need a power converter plug to use this item.

  • Good charger that may need some tweaks for your 10440 size batteries

posted by tomkon on 15:31:20 G7T 31/07/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Charges both my 10440 and 14500 quickly. Same brand as the batteries, so I gues it is a good match. Build quality seems quite good.

Cons: 10440 batteries don't fit very well in the charger. With a little effort it will definitely work. But it is a bit annoying. It's quite expensive.

Other: Just what I needed to charge mij 10440 and 14500 batteries.

Pros: Strong, good enclosure. Convenient mechanism. Automatic charging. The battery is not heated.
It was possible to repair the unit.

Cons: Out of the box device did not work - I got a defect. :( If you connect the battery once a blinking red lamp only. There is no current, voltage, no.

Other: Send back under warranty at this price it makes no sense. Wait for a new battery charger for a long time. The battery has been discharged.
I quickly was able to repair the unit. In my case the culprit was the transistor b772. Replaced it with a KT814 (Russia) and the device worked as designed.

Pros: - it has an indicator: red if it's empty or low and turns yellow green if it's fully charged.
    - it is sooo versatile as it accepts different types of batteries, yay!
    - i just love the built of it. it seems really well made :)

Cons: can't think of anything ^_^

Other: if you have 2 or more of the said batteries (10440/14500/17670/18500/18650) and you're not usually in a hurry to charge them two at a time? then this charger is a must buy. the last one i had i used for longer than a year before it got misplaced, and it worked great the entire time! ~;]

  • Cheap useful charger

posted by Madess on 03:04:23 G9T 19/09/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: cheap and good quality from the outside, have not yet looked inside, but probably there is a fairly simple circuit inside.

Cons: No EU plug it would not be luxury offering two SKUs, one with EU plug and one with US plug. I use the cable of my radio, therefore no desk radio during charging. strange noise when charger is powered but no cell inserted or charging

Other: does what it must do for that price. If you need a charger for charging one cell this is a very good one. Charges well and at good speed. If you want to charge one cell at a time is perfect.

  • Good Charger, Good Price

posted by Badot on 22:21:38 G9T 03/09/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It charges your batteries. Hasn't overcharged them, hasn't undercharged them, and works fairly quickly. Good build quality, and no problems whatsoever so far.

Cons: A bit pricier than some others. The sliding tab that holds the battery in may be a bit thin, but I've had no problem with it and so long as you don't abuse it, it should be fine.

Other: Will buy again, recommend to friends, etc. It's served me well and is still running, definitely worth the price I paid for it.
