Pros: - Huge amount of light, much brighter than 900 lumen SSC7 and similar models sold here Well built light range - has two 18650 batteries for longer run time - sturdy, felt too many times, still works after 1 year of usage - black and do not shine on itself, so if you specops or on police duty, it does not give you away - metallic body good for self defence

Cons: - not rubberized, don't throw it on the ground as it shuts down and you need to press ON again. - turn on switch is not comfortable, especially in gloves - too many light/flashing modes. I would prefer turn on/full power/off

    Other: Best Buy

Pros: Very good quality , good bin color (warm), this one is brightest i have, better than P7 and XM-L. If you never owned a power led flashlight, buy this one, you will not be disapointed (understated).

Cons: It comes as a set, the flashlight could be cheaper if it was sold seperate, without the floppy charger and over rated batteries

Other: Just buy it, and enjoy it.Just buy it, and enjoy itJust buy it, and enjoy itJust buy it, and enjoy itJust buy it, and enjoy itJust buy it, and enjoy it

Pros: Very good lamp! Cheap price really bright, lumens are true! Spotlight on a good focal point. beam will reach over 200 meters, a very good light for hunting, finding the animals in the dark. A well-made ??aluminum frame, 5 mode hi medium low and 2 strobes. Also buy spare batteries, you need them if you use a lot of light at a high light intensity.

Cons: No cons but the package should be packed better as the distances are long

Other: Just buy and enjoy the light what this brings to darknes! and do not care about the price!it s cheap!

Pros: Bright!!! + Cheap compared to name brands + Comes with charger and batteries + Very durable + Bright!

Cons: - The mode selection is pressure based, if you need to turn it off often, you'll be cycling through modes all the time and possibly blinding yourself with the strobe.

Other: Get it if your considering it.

Pros: I've had a lot of light over the years (rechargable Mag lights, several stream lights, Orion lights) and this one for over a year. I liked it so much I've bought a second one and recommend it to all my friends that want a powerful light at a reasonable price. I throws an increadible beam. The run time is well over an hour. Great for boating and hunting.

Cons: Can get a little hot, but what could you expect. This thing has a lot of power. I could do without the strobe and SOS features.

    Other: get it

  • Excellent Super bright extremely effecient!

Pros: Super bright flashlight! Compares and supersedes many high dollar flashlights that you see out there.
I've seen people comparing SST-50 emitter to that of a P7 Lenser.
I like the 5-mode light especially the Low-Mid-Hi. Flashlight starts at the mid unless you have it previously set to a different mode.
Battery lasts for one good hour on Hi, and on Low it lasts several hours, I haven't tested it.
The build quality is great, it has fallen so many times and never broke.... but keep in mind that its not the toughest flashlight. upon arrival, mine was clean, no scratches, nicely packaged. it took a little over a month to get to me :D
I don't believe that the emitter projects a 1300 lumen beam, I think its between 850 and 950, I don't have any measurements to precisely acquire accurate readings, but I know that a 1300 lumen light is a bit brighter.

Cons: Not that I know of.

Other: its a must to have flashlight, its about time to get the SST-50 if you are still having the SSC-p7.
Whether you're a mechanic, electrician , police officer, private investigator, or just a flashlight freak :) this is for you. it will serve your needs and will never put you down. Guarantee!

  • Brightest torch I have ever seen

posted by LumenEater on 07:39:32 G6T 29/06/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very VERY bright with a tight spot and reasonable spread. When you turn it on high mode you will be amazed that that much light can be emitted from such a small device. Very solid construction with good feeling clicky button. The strobe feature is awesome! Point that at somebody in a dark place from anywhere within 50 metres and they will not be able to see a thing until you let them.

Cons: SOS feature is annoying. Get rid of that. A little bit head-heavy but this is needed for the heat sink I guess. Does get a bit warm but nothing major.

Other: If you want a very bright, well made torch, look no further.

Pros: Illuminates a very white light. Focuses too much light. It has a reflector and an excellent heat sink. The finish is very good. Comes in an ideal case for a gift.

Cons: I can not say anything against this wonderful lantern. Maybe you could say against the weight if you take a long time can be uncomfortable.

Other: All my friends were surprised as white light and power of the flashlight. Everyone asked me where to buy it.

  • Surprisingly Bright, Well-Made Light!

posted by TxCharlie on 10:19:41 G3T 26/03/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very good build quality it seems - Excellent heat sink to prevent the LED from oveheating, Blows my Magliht out of the water and rips it to shreads. The memory works well - Everytime I turn it on, it gies ack to the mode I had it on last. I REALLY like that! The first mode I always used is bright when I was doing car stops and takedowns, and it must always come up in that mode. The other modes, such as strobe, are good for tactical entry. Likewise, when I turn it on, it must go into that mode the first time, Unlike my AUrora P7 - When I was patrolling with a P7, it was like playing roller roulette trying to get it to go into the right mode as I walked upon the car I had just stopped. I've only tried it with Li-Ion cells so far. In heavy duty applications, I will be changing it to the safer LiPoSO4 cells to prevent explosions that sometimes happen when Ll-Ion cells get shot or severely dented. Heavy and perhaps durable enough to be used as a short baton. similar to the way a Maglight can be used,

Cons: No cons at all, so far - more heavy than a tactical light, but for the power I'll take it! I always carry a couple of spare tactical lights anyway, so I'm not overly concerned if this light malfunctions - But it hasn't so far.

Other: Looks very good all the way around. It could use some thicker cells just so the body dismater matched the MagLite, but I love the Li rechargables. I can keep charhed Li-Ion around for weeks and depend on them, whereas even the new lo-discharge NiMH betteries that MagLite uses will drain pretty fast in the heat even with the switch turned off. The Li-Ion's used in this flashlight don't have nearly the self-discharge rate, so they are much more dependable.

Pros: EXTREMELY bright high beam. Small enough to carry on your belt. Rugged Construction Re-chargeable Ion-Lithium Batteries.

Cons: If this baby could FOCUS it's beam, then it would be truly AWESOME, instead of just outstanding. No belt holster provided. SHAME! The charger is USELESS in Australia! Lucky I had an appropriate charger from another Trustfire! LIFT YOUR GAME PLEASE!

Other: It is literally the best torch I've ever had, I would love to see Trustfire top this model. Whatever it will be, I'll be buying it!
