  • These tools are great!

Pros: These tools help out in many ways. They can be used to move pins, ream through-holes, move wires, scrape flux, brush off flux, bend leads, lift components, and form the legs of components. The scrapper and the wire brush both have saved me a can of flux-off and countless q-tips and more time. Good sharp angles on the chisel and scrapper probes.

Cons: The only negative that I have seen is the looseness of the wires in the wire bush tool. Although many would consider that bad;this allows me to adjust the length appropriately to more efficiently remove solder flux--so it is really more of a Pro..

Other: I once though these things were dumb and were meant to be laughed at by anyone who has laid eyes on a 2M workspace. I was wrong. These tools are great and help with every part of the electronics repair. And you can't go wrong for 4 bucks.

Pros: English: Good size. Good material. Good price. Spanish: Buen tamanio Buen materiall Excelente precio

Cons: English: The handle doesn't have good grip, but it is not a critical problem. Instructions in chinese. Spanish: El agarre no es bueno, se resbala un poco pero no es nada critico, las instrucciones estan solo en chino. Esto ultimo no es tampoco nada critico.

    Other: Nothing more.

  • Better set than others I've owned

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The set contains a wide variety of hooks, chisels, points, and brushes. The ends are well secured in the plastic handles. The ends reject solder well.

Cons: This product has almost no cons especially at the price. The only thing I would change is to add a case or other type of holder for the set so the individual tools can be kept together and not lost or scattered around my messy workbench.

Other: If you do not have a set of these soldering aids you will find them extremely useful in MANY situations. I recommend this set.

Pros: The excellent set, thoroughly thought over forms of tips of the tool. Allow to solve practically all problems connected with implementation of the soldering of small components.

Cons: There is no the special cover, allowing to fix all tools (on type as for sets of screw-drivers) is worsens general impression a little.

Other: The special cover excluding casual receiving traumas is necessary, at tool operation.

Pros: These are made of pretty good quality steel and there is a tool for every purpose under heaven. Very useful.

Cons: The handles are light blue and rather ugly. Moreover, the text "C.V. SOLDER ASSIST" is ugly and unnecessary. The brush is too flimsy to be of any use, I threw it away. You have to sharpen the tools before use.

Pros: i think they are great value for money. such a cheap price and they are nice solid tools for use in soldering or other electronic things.

Cons: the brush end was a bit out of place, bent and spread out a bit. but it wasnt a problem at all, can just bend them back. its not like its a toothbrush so its fine :)

Other: i think it a great price, it does what its supposed to do. im glad its a cheap product that doesnt feel cheaply made, and doesnt feel unworthy compare to high priced items. i reccomend them.

Pros: A very handy set of tools - a good variety of tips - useful for other things apart from soldering. These tools feel reasonably sturdy and should last a long time if they are not abused. The package they come in has pictures on the back that show what each tool can be used for.

Cons: The tools are advertised as stainless steel but I do not think they are. The knife tip is not very sharp.

Other: Good value for the price. I'm glad I bought them. At less than a dollar for each tool, I can't complain.

  • I hadn't knew I needed these until I got them

    posted by brainwashed1 on 04:49:37 G2T 17/02/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: These tools do more than I am able to do with them. I previously used intricate constructions of tweezers, shirt pins, screwdrivers, toothpicks and whatever I could find. The packaging shows some suggested uses for the tools, but it is kind of hard to make out.

Cons: I cannot find any other information on how to use the tools. I'm sure everyone of them could fit somewhere into my workflow but someone needs to do a tutorial on these. At some times they seem like they would break if you push them hard, but so far this has not happened. I would try to avoid stressing them anyway.

Other: If you don't know what they are and you do soldering then definitely buy this.

  • DIY Soldering Tools

    posted by Stilet007 on 10:57:44 G1T 10/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Tool handles do not heat up, the metal parts are not unbend (this is a very good). Such set will not be superfluous to who has to deal with the soldering. Good price for a variety of soldering picks.

Cons: Slash knife is not imprisoned, the quality of the brush leaves much to be desired, one of the instruments was a little rusty, but in General it is a set of auxiliary tool for soldering your money's worth.

Other: Strength of steel is good, before I bought this set used dental instruments, so they unfurled.

Pros: I like these! First pro is the price. I really can't get these kind of tools here in this price range. Second is, that due the fact, that I'm not going to use them in soldering, but in polymer clay-modeling, I really don't care their quality in soldering. ;) Last pro. This is soooo easy to just order!

Cons: Don't really like that plastic handles, they are blue.. But who cares!! :D

    Other: I like them!
