Pros: Sufficiently bright. I haven't had any other 2xAA flashlights, but comparing to 1xAAA (like sku.24126) and 3xAAA it's a little brighter.
    Compact size.
    Gets warm, not hot.
    Fits a pair of high-capacity (2400mAh) Eneloops.
Battery life with the above rechargeables is about 4 hours. After that it dims fast.

Cons: Beam is not smooth: the cree rings are quite pronounced and there are some artifacts. This can, however, be corrected with a home-made plastic diffuser.
Flickers and dies when the temperature drops below around -15 degrees Celcius (5 degrees Fahrenheit).

Other: It's a good light when used under the right conditions, but I need a bike light that works in the winter too, and this just didn't cut it.

  • Best Price/Value AA powered Flashlight

Pros: Cheap 2xAA powered flashlight, I’m impressed by the brightness. I tested it with two 2650mAh Duracells (actually 2400mAh, tested) and it lasted for about 4 hours. During the test the brightness gradually degraded, but it still was acceptable. It gets hand warm. The build quality is OK, the on/off switch feels solid (only one mode). Tried several AA batteries (incl. Eneloops NiMH batteries), they all fit well. It has a good throw (approx. 15 meters) and also some flood.

Cons: The threads seem a bit rough and a bit on the short side. The clip is flimsy, but do you actually need it? Cannot tail stand. plastic lens.

Other: Nice flashlight, I put one in my car's dashboard and one in my toolbox. I am pleased with my buy. Recommend buy. It’s worth it.

  • Good flashlight.

Pros: This flashlight is good. It fits very well in my hand. It does not overheat. I’ve tested it with fresh AA battery and with rechargeable 2500 mAh battery. I have no way to measure the lumens output and I doubt to think that is 140 lumens, but I think that they are minimum 100 lumens. The drive current is 620 mA with fresh ordinary batteries and 580–590 mA with rechargeable batteries. With 1800 mAh batteries it lights 2 h and 30 min with no visible brightness change. Build quality looks good.

Cons: When you got it, you will need to clean all electrical contacts well. In addition, you will need to lubricate O-rings with silicone oil or Teflon grease. It has only one mode. Will be better if it has a Low and Hi mode. Sometimes is no necessary to use it in full brightness. It only has a carrying clip and NO carrying strap, as describe in DX Overview. It is no way to attach carrying strap.

    Other: Good and useful flashlight.
