  • Great Value!

posted by rmjchas on 15:14:52 G1T 21/01/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: AA size means it is small and fits well in a pocket. AA battery size is economical. Good combination of throw and spill.

Cons: A hi/lo mode would help save on the battery. Finish is a little thin, and eventually rubs off.

Other: Absolutely the best value in a single AA light. They make great presents!

  • Great Light

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Bright for its size
Fits in my hand nice, grips well
    Solid feel
Same AA battery since March (its Oct now)
    Wrist strap is perfect length

    Cons: Wish I had more

Other: Leave it in the car, camera bag (me), house, whatever. Considering its size, it can be placed anywhere. No regrets at all, I'm actually looking to buy more (and I dont need them, haha).
    Just buy it...

  • It's Cool Light

posted by hawaiianpig on 05:38:23 G3T 03/03/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: 1.Small light comes with enough light
    2.Use single AA battery.You can't beat that.
3.strap is big enough to fit your wrist.
    4.Battery time is pretty long.

    Cons: 1.no o-ring
    2.It seems little smaller spot.
    3.click thing is bit soft.
    4.No lube

Other: I want to order some more of this because it's small enough for my kids and my wife to carry.
if you are looking for small flashlight for hiking and all...this is good enough.

  • Good household light

posted by didreat on 11:13:02 G2T 26/02/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - This one cute flashlight.
    - Overall build quality is quite good, feels solid.
    - Came with P4 emitter.

Cons: - Slight color difference b/w body and tail.
    - dent and rough finish inside the body. Nothing major though.
    - Not as bright as some other AA lights.
    - It drains over 1A from the battery, and still is not as bright as some other AA light. It gets dim after an hour and half, then it stays "candle-like" dim for hours. The driver efficiency is poor and is not well regulated.

Other: Cute, useful household light. If you're expecting anythin

  • Best flashlight purchased

posted by lazerjock on 15:29:01 G10T 09/10/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Absolutely the best flashlight i have purchased. very bright and runs off of a single AA battery. Contains the P4 led which is much brighter than the P2 led.

Cons: only get about 45min per battery before it gets kinda dim, the flashlight will get warm while on.

Other: get this flashlight it is probably the best flashlight that your 15$ could buy. I personally like this flashlight better than the RC-A2 flashlight, though this flashlight seems to have more throw which can be a downer if you looking at using it for close up work, as it can almost blind yourself while using it.

  • Good light for the price

    posted by vegasf6 on 20:46:10 G8T 18/08/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Small P4 led, runs well from eneloop cell. Efficient boost circuit.

Cons: No forward clicky like other Romisen's (this is a Romisen RC-A3 don't let the name Saik fool you.)

Other: Good EDC for the non flashaholic, great gift light. I would recomend the RC-G2 if you can handle the larger head, or the RC-H3 if you want the same slim style. I have yet to find a better single AA light on this website and I own many. More reliable than the ultrafire C3 or MTE. But not nearly as bright as a cr123 light.

  • Beautiful torch in handy size

posted by CharlieOnFire on 22:19:45 G8T 14/08/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Solid built quality, glass lens and aluminum reflector. Expected Romisen reliablity. 100 lumen brightness is useful within 30 ft radius. One hand operable because the length is right over palm width(unlike some single CR123 torch which is shorter and need two hand to operate). AA cell you can get it anywhere in the world. Runs even longer with rechargeable battery. Use it with no fear.

Cons: Only one mode. Pill is hard to remove. Mine comes with a tiny bit of dirt by the emitter. No effect but visible. Since the reflector is not removable, you have to live with it.

Other: I hope there's a DIY model from Romisen. We've been searching for 1AA multi-mode for a long time. I know there are NiteCore, Fenix, JetBeam...out there but price is out of scope. Go Romisen! Design one for us.

  • Very bright and solid

posted by Tuneboy on 18:03:43 G7T 02/07/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Bright white light
    Strong, solid housing
    Waterproof
    Easy to use
    Uses AA batteries

Cons: The brightest dot in the middle is too small, the light is a bit too focused in the middle, i'd loved a more spreaded light.

Other: I would recomend this to everyone. If you use good AA batteries it will last a very long time and illuminate everything you would ever want! Be carefull not to drop it with the lens downwards, that could affect the waterproofness.

  • Small and bright!

posted by tohterry on 04:27:49 G6T 02/06/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: + Small and light weight
+ The blinding brightness of this beats all the cheap generic LED flashlights; you will never want to go back to cheap flashlights again
+ It is solidly built, well anodized and has o-rings
+ The spot is quite big, with quite large outer ring; easily illuminate any object

Cons: - Get very warm on bare hand after a while but it cools quickly when switched off or battery is low
    - Low runtime, but this is expected from just a single AA battery

Other: This cree light is very bright and uses a single AA battery which is available everywhere. This will be my EDC light for sure.
