Pros: First of all, the price is quite low. And it works quite well - no brainer.

Cons: I can't really pinpoint any cons. Maybe the battery holder is a bit loose, but it still doesn't affect the usability.

Other: Don't hesitate, buy it. It is very affordable item which you definitely must have in your camera bag.

  • Incredible cheap and yet useful accessory for your camera!!

Pros: I am so delightfull for having and using this small and so powerfull accessory that it's beyond my words. I hope I can share my thrill with you. I had a Canon 40d for a few years until last month. I bought a yongnuo's wire remote shutter for it since there was no IR remote wireless controller for it. Bought Canon 7d last august and discovered that my wired remote controller is not compatible with it. Ordered this IR remote and got very excited. It works flawlessy from few meters. But, when I discovered that it works with B mode of my camera, I was totaly delirious!! One press for mirror up and open shutter. Other press for closing shutter and mirror down.

Cons: Only con is it's size, since it easy gets lost in the bag, so you have to keep it in smaller pockets in the bag, but the question is is it really the size that is it's con?!?

Other: Warm recommendation for every compatible Canon camera user!!

  • A decent remote

Pros: The price is right and it is a nice size. Not too big, not too small.

Cons: The actual shutter button is a bit flimsy and doesn't have a very tactile feel so it's hard to tell that you've actually pressed the button, but it does work.

Other: It works, it's cheap. What more can you ask for really?

Pros: The price is great, it looks good and works perfectly. It's small enough to fit any camera bag and perfect size to hold on hand. Comes with battery and has a switch on the back to select normal shooting or 2 seconds delay.

    Cons: None! It's perfect.

    Other: Buy it!

  • Can cause a lot of fun!

Pros: This device can cause a lot of fun! it has two modes, very useful for shooting a self portrait. On your camera you can choose the option for remote shutter. on your remote you can choose weather the camera has to make a direct picture, or has to wait for two seconds, so you have the time to hide the remote before the picture is taken. The remote is also useful for making stereo pictures with two camera's. (tested with EOS 600 and EOS 550) also very useful when taking pictures on a cheap unstable tripod.

Cons: Me and my girl used it for taking pictures during our holiday in Spain. Due to the bright sunlight, the distance of usage is significant shortened. Back in the Netherlands, the useful distance is about 9 to 10 meters. In Spain, sometimes only 3 to 4 meters. It's also good to know that the battery slowly slides out when using, so fixating the cover with some tape is necessary.

Other: I do definitely not regret this!

Pros: + It is a great price + It is lightweight + It fits in the hand comfortably + It is so easy to use + I love the switch on the back (can take photos without a delay or with 2 second delay) -- often remotes have one or the other, but depending on the type of photo, having the option is very useful

Cons: - The responsiveness is 95%... occasionally you have to press the button more than once to take a photo. It's not a huge inconvenience... this happens with my "brand name" remote also. - There aren't too many cons that I have seen as of yet. The build quality seems to be OK. Can't comment yet on the longevity of this remote.

Other: Overall, it's a great buy and I would definitely recommend it!

Pros: Now that's great! Waaaay cheaper than the "real" one from Canon, yet it works just the same! Put your camera on remote mode, point and shoot. And it shoots! What more do you need? Yes, there are more expensive one with many more functions, but think twice before buying them, do you really understand and need all these functions?

Cons: Well, none. I saved many $ buying this one instead of the Canon and am not sorry.

    Other: Buy. Point. Shoot.

  • Confirmed working with the Canon 6D

posted by Skalberg on 04:17:28 G5T 11/05/2013 certificated customer

Pros: Cheap compared to original stuff, can't be much of difference in operation. Worked right out of the box, you can switch between "immediate" shutter release and a 2-sec delay directly from the controller.

Cons: Not really, would have liked a dedicated on/off button but I don't think the Canon one has that either.

Other: If you're looking for a remote to go with your Canon, get this one.

  • Great item for a bargain

posted by prijsaanvragen on 01:44:21 G5T 08/05/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Easy to use - 2s or instant shutter option - Really small - Does trigger the autofocus (although I read on this site this wasn't the case) before releasing the shutter - Battery included - Price is very low

Cons: - Until now I haven't detected any, but at this price I can't expect the product to last for ages. - A pity there is no option on the Camera to use the shutter or the remote at the same time. This has already caused me some missed shots (but is a Canon issue not linked to the remote control)

Other: A great item at a ridiculously low price :-)
