Pros: Its a main tool for pushing wires fully into tight spaces. The integrated spring loaded bladed cuts of excess automatically. Its very cheap, good quality and works with CAT 3, 4, 5 and 6 cables. It comes with a case and is small and compact, easily stored and transported.

Cons: I can't find anything wrong or bad with it!

Other: Just buy it. You won't regret. Even if it wasn't that cheap, the tool by itself worth it.

  • Very good for the price!

Pros: Very cheap for the price. Does what its supposed to do. Perfect for home use (not everyday use)

Cons: The 'Blade' and the 'Wire Hook' isnt as easy to get out as a professional punchtool. Not as durable, but perfect for home use.

Other: Perfect for home use, or as in my case, a backup for my professional punch tool in the back of my workcar. I still have it in my car after 4 years of purchase, so its capable of doing what its supposed to do, but I havent used every day (maybe some days a year when I forgot my professional at the office). Bottomline: a good buy!

Pros: Very cheap, unbeatable price, and very useful tool, which I use once a week at least. i have been using it for almost a month now, it is excellent for its price and works perfectly . It works great and punch down is strong enough. Force needed seems a bit high compared to a tool I had used before but there is no damage to the connector

Cons: Plastic most be litlle better but for this price it s ok .

Other: If you need this and work like electrician you should buy this because for this price is more than better .

Pros: very cheap, unbeatable price, and very useful tool, which I use once a week at least. i have been using it for almost a year now, it is excellent for its price.........

Cons: nothing except building quality could be better, bot for that price it is more than o.k, so this isnt really a con............

Other: buy it, what are you waiting!? if you are not an heavyweight professional, this tool will satisfy all your needs... at least it did to me ..........

Pros: Good price; cheeper than other identical tools. Nice Quality; is not fantastic but is enough for me.

    Cons: None at this moment

Other: Recomended for a hobbist or a proffesional in non-intensive tasks. I you're a proffesional installer you can find stronger tools for "all-day" cable ponching.

  • Using it only once already makes the purchase worth it.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It's a nice cheap tool, that is really easy to use. I would not say it is a must-have, but if you use only once, it is so cheap it is worth it to purchase only to use for what you need, after that you can keep it for a future need.

Cons: The material use to build it doesn't seem to be robust, it seems to be a really cheap material, but for the price it isn't such a bad thing. For me it isn't that useful, I used it only once and now it is kept in my tool case.

Other: Not a must-have, but for the price it can be purchase for only one use.

  • Great for light use (I think)

posted by TechApprentice on 06:57:06 G1T 11/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It works great and punch down is strong enough. Force needed seems a bit high compared to a tool I had used before but there is no damage to the connector so all is ok.

Cons: The cutting tool to trim the access wire does not always work. But when you insert the wire almost straight (so without bends) the cut wil be ok 9 out of 10 times. The tool feels lite and fragile because of the cutter.

Other: If you need it, you can't go wrong. It will get the job done. And maybe even some jobs you have after that

Pros: Great price, does what it is suppose to do, easy to use and figure out.

Cons: It only does one thing. I needed it just for this one job and now it is just sitting there. Comes with a crappy plastic protective cover.

Other: I used it only for this one Job and it worked perfectly without any glitches.

Pros: unbelievable price sturdy build, plastic housing, auto-cuts extra trim ends.

Cons: spring was very tough to start, but has loosend up some required 2x punches on the same terminal to make a good looking punchdown... but i am also picky. other 2 tools in the handle are useless

Other: if you are using it every day, you might want one of higher quality, but if you're on this site you aren't looking for top of the line. persomally i didnt mind using mine for 2 ful days straight.
