  • Best monocular on the market for such price

posted by Maxtaseek on 03:19:21 G11T 15/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Build quality is even better than expected! Nice metallic housing (not cheap plastic but aluminium). Very comfortable and smooth zoom/focus adjustment. Can be used as a microscope from 0,5m distance. Can even see sub-pixels on the screen.

Cons: Would be better to make bigger lens diameter (32-40 mm) and a cup for lens protection. Image looks too dark on the maximum amplification, but it's ok in a shiny day.

Other: Very nice device for camping/sports and nature watching. Small, portable and useful. Nikon/Pentax/Bushnell analogs are 10 times more expensive.

Pros: Small sized monocular that fits easily in your pocket or around your neck. Lightweight, telescopic monocular even with fixture screw for tripod. Nice clean design, with clearly visible marks. Comes with belt pouch, neck strap and cleaning cloth.

Cons: Narrow object lens, which furtherly means less light which directly affect visibility. But the rael CON is low lenses quality. Eventhough they are obviously made of glass, they suffer from distortion.

Other: Expected much more than I actually got. As far as I'm concerned it should be priced much lower.

Pros: It seems to have good quality, and the package have some usefull stuff. Variable amplification is good to have

Cons: Not so much amplification. The hole to put tripod have very small place to tight the tripod, so if I put my tripod, i cant adjust the aplification anymore

Other: I think is good to have, because its small, and really portable

  • Very nice product for the asking price!!!

posted by thlfpt on 07:20:16 G3T 22/03/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very compact, fits in a pocket.
Comes with a nice pouch and a lens cleaning cloth.
    Nice magnification.
Objects look very sharp in low and medium magnification.

Cons: At maximum magnification is almost impossible to focus and images appear very unfocused.
The pouch could be of better quality, but for the price couldn't ask for more.
Although the build quality is enough, its not rugged, so you have to be careful with impacts and water.

Other: Not a high end product, but a very nice product for the asking price.
It does the work if you use it with care and don't get it wet.

  • Great item; very stylish-looking and works well.

Pros: The monocular is nice looking and stylish. It is light but has a solid build. It has a well-fitting protective case and is small enough to carry on the belt or in a pocket. It looks like it would be easy to clean. it is easy to use, simple to focus and has a very good, clear close-up.

Cons: Nothing really, although it is one of the more expensive monoculars. Don't particularly like the feel of the rubber eye-piece, but then I'm not used to it yet and haven't tried any of the other monoculars yet.

Other: I would definitely recommend it as a gift or for yourself.

Pros: It is a good product. It works well with a cool looking. It can focus at 50cm. It easy focus in long distances, with good rubber touch.
Es un buen producto funciona bien, tiene buena apariencia. Es capaz de enfocar a 50cm, y la gomas de los anillos tienen buen tacto.

Cons: Zoom ring is not very smooth is little and hard.
El anillo del zoom esta un poco duro y tiene muy poco recorrido lo que hace que sea dificil de manejar.

    Other: I recomended it.
    Lo recomiendo.

  • Much better than expected

Pros: Very versatile, because of the short distance at which the monocular can be used and the zoom function, you can use it as a telescope and a microscope. You can study a butterfly just near you and a bird at the horizon. It has a very clear and sharp view. I use a lot of optical instruments of very expensive brands, but this one has te best price-quality ratio I,ve ever seen!! I also bought the sku3903, sku2545 and the sku3899. Although these monoculars are not bad at all, this one is the very best!!

Cons: The focus-ring could be a little smoother. but it works well.

Other: I can recommend this item to every nature lover. It is great to have several functions in one thing.

  • Cute & Cool Toy

posted by pikkidok on 22:12:28 G4T 01/04/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Small
    Cute and cool looking
Decent build quality for the price, feels solid and well made
Has fold down rubber eyecups for spectacle users, which is impressive for something this price

Cons: Zoom ring is not smooth.
If you put it on a real, proper sized tripod, the base will impede the zoom and focus rings.
While the optical quality is fairly good, it is too dim at full zoom to make it useful even if you can hold it steady which is almost impossible.

Other: It is more cute and cool than useful. Excellent to have a mini silver tripod and you can put it on your work desk. It is optically impossible to have zoom at this size and still get good images. Nevertheless it was still a good buy because it is darn cool.

  • Surprisingly good Monocular

posted by Julizacco on 08:23:55 G2T 09/02/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Looks cool - The holster is not bad at all - The Box came kinda messed up - Once you get how to use it, it works excellent - No part comes out on it's own (good build quality) - Everything moves fluently - It's not too light (if it were too light you wouldn't be able to focus), neither too heavy - Comes with a thread for a tripod (includes no tripod of course)

Cons: - Like every monocular, when you use it for long distances it's hard to keep it from moving - It's difficult to be accurate if you haven't used a monocular before Nothing else

Other: Nice monocular for a nice price.

  • Really satisfied :)

Pros: Solid metal housing eliminates feeling of cheapness. Zoom/focus in/out works great. Spinning the focus wheel is easy yet slow, what gives you extra quality non-plastic feeling. Comes with holster, strap and cleaning wipe. Great gadget for even greater price.

Cons: It has quite small sight area, so you have shaky arms, could be a problem to stay focused on one object. Otherwise I can't see any other cons.

Other: Once you adjust your sight with monocular and ease your hand you'll get perfect picture. I couldn't find better monocular for this price. It's a nice buy!
