Pros: Size: It's really small, so it's a great choice to use on your car stereo. You can also carry it on your key chan Ease of use: Just insert the card, plug on an usb port and you're done Price: It's really cheap

Cons: Quality: As it's cheap, you can't expect a good material quality Reliability: I've had one of these in the past and it simple died on me after a couple months of use Security: The MicroSD doesn't fit completly It is also very easy to lose it given its size

Other: If you have mp3 songs on your phone and want yo play them on your car stereo, this adapter is a good choice

Pros: Verry small card reader that reads MicroSD and also M2 cards . I use it on my MP3 Stereo at my car , and it's perfect . Tested with multiple M2 cards and also a 32GB class 10 microSD.

Cons: If you copy 1 big file or multiple files that acumulates more than 2gb , it disconectes from the computer , and you need to reconect and recopy the files again . I realised that this happens when the microSD card get's hotter.

Other: It's a cheap product , so for this money , you can use it for normal gadgets.

    Pros: I don´t know if it´s cheap

Cons: we bought 6 pieces, some of them doesn´t work. Two of them can be separated in 2 pieces.
The card doesn´t fit very well, a part of it remains outside but normally it works well

Other: I think product 1294 is much more better

  • Great value

Pros: It is very chep in large quantities, I paied only $0.85 each for 10 of them.
It supports SDHC which is good nowadays.
The package can be opened and closed without breaking it so you can check the card before selling it.

Cons: Sometimes it is a little hard to insert the MicroSD into the card.
The MicroSD sticks out a few millimeters from the reader so you cant leave it in the reader.

Other: Looks and works professional in a good package. Fitness for the MicroSD could be better.

Pros: - As opposed to most other cheap MicroSD readers, in this one it is EXTREMELY easy getting the microSD card in/out of the reader.
    - Some read SHDC
    - Comes with packaging
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    Cons: - Feels very cheap
    - High failure rate
    - Some don't read SHDC
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Other: Out of the five I recieved, 3 didn't work at all. Out of the two that worked, one read SHDC and the other didn't.

    Pros: 1. Cheap
    2. Works with my 4Gb card
    3. Better than those single slot-type usb card readers

Cons: 1. Doesn't enclose the card sufficiently.
    2. No lanyard provided.
    3. Rather flmsy packaging but still passable.

Other: Get it if you need it.

  • Great little reader handles 4gb without problems

Pros: Its faster than my r4 reader by 1 megabyte. its like 6 megabytes per second. which is fast for a little reader like this. pretty good color too as it handles my 4gb. Says microsdhc in the reader so you know it handles Microsdhc

Cons: Had failed me once while formatiing, the 1gb probably was defective since i didn't have any major problems in its performance afterwards

Other: Its only $2 so why are you reading this review. GET THIS NOW!!

  • Good, but one key flaw

posted by RevBob on 05:04:40 G10T 05/10/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This is a nice little microSD USB reader. It handles microSDHC cards flawlessly, up to at least 8GB - that's the biggest card I have to test with. (You can barely make out the SDHC logo in some of the closeup photos.)

Cons: The biggest downside to this item is that it doesn't enclose the card. From the images, I'd expected that the red part would open, you'd insert the card, and you'd close it again to have a tiny flash drive. This is not the case - what you see in the main photo is the underside of the device. The top features an open slot, the card barely slides in, and it's completely exposed. I would NOT advise carrying this with a card inserted, under any circumstances. Also, it doesn't come with a lanyard, but that's no big deal.

Other: It's a great reader for around the house, or to throw in a camera bag, but don't use it as a substitute flash drive.
