  • Easy to carry.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It can hold a small camera in different positions wich are lockable due to a screw on the side.

Cons: Fragile. I didnt really know how to change the angle with the screw and it just broke. Since that moment when I just opened the package, its hard to move and sometimes it doesnt stand still. You cant use it and a camera cable at the same time because theres a large thing holding the camera.

Other: That´s the tripod you should carry on a trip. It´s small and gets smaller when you close it.

  • cheap and small, but also cheap in built quality

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: *cheap *doesn't need much space in your camera bag

Cons: *made of cheap plastic *doesn't hold a serious DSLR (weight) *not suffiecient for strobist flash actions (size) *bad general built quality and especially of the screw

Other: it's cheap, but not worth it at all... there are so many better tripod at dx like all the gorillapod fakes which acutally work so better invenst in something else

Pros: This is a nice option for a camcorder or camera. It takes up almost no room in a small camera bag(folds flat). It is plastic but seems fairly well made.
It will hold a smaller size camera or camcorder with no problems.

Cons: It is plastic, there is no way to adjust legs for uneven terrain use.The placement of the tension screw(to adjust camera angle)may get in the way on some eguipment.

Other: For under 4 bucks, you can't go wrong.

  • Neat little tripod

posted by hexopod on 10:50:24 G12T 30/12/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This tripod is very easy to use. It only takes a minutes to figure out how to work it. It's very small, you could carry it in a jacket pocket very easily; or if you're like me, you can just throw it in your bag.

Cons: Seems a bit fragile. My friend over-tightened the part where the mount point swivels, and now I can't make it work without a philips head screwdriver. Thankfully I have a second one already.

Other: If you carry a camera on a regular basis, there is no reason to not carry one of these as well. It will make night shooting so much easier. I like having one of these, but I feel like the ball-joint tripods like the Gorillapod are more versatile and probably a better value.

  • Best tripod for a pocket camera

posted by prgrss on 01:54:28 G12T 12/12/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I've had this one with me when I've travelled. The tripod is very compact, very light, and the built quality is good (strong built). I really can recommend this one. Also I like the design of the tripod.

Cons: It only works well with pocket cameras, I wish I had one that would work with my better camera. Nothing else cames to my mind.

Other: Great tripod for travelling. Goes with you in a pocket or in a bag and it weights so little you don't even remember it is there. :D Easy to use and good quality. This is the best small tripod for pocket cameras I've ever bought.

  • Nice for the price

Pros: - It is very, very cheap.
    - It is very, very small, so you can put it in nearly any bag, and in most of pockets
    - It is lightweight.

Cons: - It's little, so you can use it to stabilize and aim, not to really raise.

Other: It is so cheap and useful it deserves a try. I'm happy of having bought it, so there's no problem in taking self-pics when outdoor :)

  • Nice design bundled with cheap price

posted by Nedward on 13:29:34 G9T 06/09/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Even though it looks quite small in those pics, it's actually bigger. It's still pretty compact when folded.
    - Feets are rubberized.
    - Quite easy to fold and unfold.
    - Can actually hold a small DSLR. I was amazed to see, how well it held my D40 kit.
    - Lightweight and quite sturdy for the price.

Cons: - Isn't metal as promised above, it's just plastic.
    - If your camera isn't middle mounted, you have to place it carefully. I had some problems with one Powershot.
    - The feet's rubber plug's aren't attached with any sort of glue or nothing. But I don't think they'll fall that easily.
    - When a camera is attached, it sometimes interferes the tightening screw.

Other: Nice little tripod with a clever design.

  • Handy little bugger

posted by Marble on 03:02:41 G6T 24/06/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Its very small when folded, so its easy to take with you on hikes, trips etc.
Once you get how this is unfolded its actually pretty easy to use.
It has rubber feet which provide extra grip.
Theres a piece of rubber on the top underneath the screw through which you cant scratch your camera.

Cons: The screw to tighten/loosen the legs can interfere with the camera, which makes it difficult to unfold the tripod correctly.
The rubber feet arent fixed so you have to watch not to lose them.
Sometimes doesnt seem level, a bit of bending and pushing solves the problem.
Needs a tad of fiddling to figure out how this thing works.

Other: Fine piece of equipment to work with when photographing anything. Nice for anyone without a steady hand.

posted by arequejo on 10:21:57 G3T 31/03/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It is made of plastic, so it is very light. The rubber feet seemst o be really stable, much more than aluminium mini-tripods, that personally give me no stability confidence. The rubber surface where the camera is attached it is a nice detail.

Cons: It seems that will not last forever. It is easy to chip the plastic surface, so it will not be long time before it looks really worn out. The tightening screw hits with the camera, although it is possible to fit the whole thing perfectly

Other: I'll order a couple more just in case...

  • Strong little tripod

    posted by gaxx85 on 07:08:09 G3T 10/03/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Holds my camera without fail Can tilt the head back to get a sky shot Solid design and doesnt take up too much room in your bag/pack Lightweight Lever to adjust tightness of level
Rubber legs to stop it slipping

Cons: It is made of plastic which feels cheap
The screw holding the camera seems to not fully screw in, but thats just my paranoia

Other: A nice tripod for more harder srurfaces, the flexible legged tripod is better for more "rugged" terrain though
