Pros: Very good built quality Strong and massive ballhead 4-way leg extantion Hight adjustment throw main stick is strong and staible Can use rubber grip for solid ground (indoor, sidewalks, rocks) or metal to "stick" in the ground. Spongy cover for the main leg Water-proof carrying bag with a comfortable soulder strip Low price for the value

Cons: Ballhead main con is that it can't adjust 1 dimansion (left-right/up-down/angle) by choise. Once you unlock the ballhead it moves freely untill locking it once again. The tripod is a bit heavy but it's expected from a proffetional tripod to be that way. It's important to add that this tripod is not heavier than other proffetional tripods wich hold heavy cameras.

Other: A proffetional and well built tripod. Very well Price-to-Value rate. Holds very well DSLRs with Flash and other additions. "Overkill" for campact cameras.

Pros: Well build, comes with a head, can hold heavy lenses, comes with a nice bag.

Cons: A bit expensive. Doesn`t have a handle on the head, a bit heavy. Couple of screws were not tighten down all the way so the head was a bit wobbly, but it`s easy to fix.

Other: Nice tripod, looks professional, a bit heavy to carry around, but comes with a bag, can hold heavier lenses a great choice if you`re a tall around 190 cm.

Pros: Very nice professional looking tripod. A really good choices for outdoor photographing activities or tabletop photography. Ideal for macro photography. Lightweight and easy to handle. Easily adjustable ball-head and quick release plate. Came with a very nice high quality carrying bag. Has a compass and a leveler. Collapsed becomes compact and easy to carry around. Very decent ball-head.

Cons: Plastic parts seem to be made of cheap plastic. I do not understand why they have painted the ball-head. The paint will start to come off after a few uses. Lower part of the legs is very very flimsy. Do not attempt to load 8 kg to this tripod as the lower part of the legs will surely break. The lower legs will also affect stability in windy conditions or when you press the shutter button.

Other: I like this tripod. It performs better than most of the so called professional tripods for half the price.

  • Metal 8KG Load Camera Tripod

Pros: One important thing I wanted in my tripod was the height. This tripod answered my needs. When it is fully open, it reaches (I think even more than) 1.6 meters. It comes with it's own bag. It has levels on both body and a head. It's weight is relatively small considering the size. It comes with a ball head, which is considered more convenient than the regular head is. Ball head has good lock, and doesn't have a problem to hold still my Nikon D90 with 18-200 VR lens and flash.

Cons: Ball head has it's own cons. For example, it is much harder to do a panorama (few shots , from left to right , in order to combine them later) shots, as the head can not be locked in only one plane, as the regular head can. So , if that tripod could be sold with additional (regular) head , it would be better. Also, it has proprietary part that connects to the camera (the one with screw), and in case you lose one - whole tripod becomes useless. It would be nice if manufacturer provided at least 2 of them, or DX would offer them for buying.

    Other: Good purchase for me.

Pros: It's not much heavy considering the steadiness. The bag that comes with it is a very nice one. The locks of the legs are firm...
The legs open a lot, what can get you very close to the ground.

Cons: The security lock of the head is a bitch. Not easy at all to unlock... and it's a nice metal piece, so be prepared to get some yanking with your fingers that can hurt sometimes.
The thinnest legs are not thaaat much stable. It's not a build quality problem, it's a design one. It should have a little longer lock in those ones to get more stable. This last one will only be a problem when you need absolute stability, when using for time-lapses for example. So I recommend to avoid getting it all open for that kind of use.

Other: It's a very nice tripod for general usage. For the level of stability that it get's I have no doubt that worth having one of those comparing to the aluminum ones. Easy to carrie, comes with a good bag, level and so on. And for that price... woof... I'm quite sure it's worth it.

  • Great Value

Pros: This tripod is much sturdier than expected
Very well made, quality feel and look.
Very versatile - accommodating any angle/slope and allowing the camera to be inverted.
The bag is padded and well made with good materials

Cons: The only Con, is that I would have liked to get more of the mounting blocks which link the camera to the tripod. I have 3 cameras and a scope and having to always change the 'dovetail' block is a nuisance. I cannot find anywhere on DealX this part seperately, but I need this.
Some previous commentators have spoken about the new smell, but for me this is not an issue and in fact it tells me that I have a fine new tripod in my studio.

Other: I have looked long and far for a good tripod, usually being scared off by crazy prices, or by poor quality at the bottom end of the affordable price range, but this tripod takes care of all that and this value cannot be beaten. Do not hesitate, just get it.

    Pros: -Good price
    -Light for its size
    -Looks nice
-Good quality zipped bag that has a pocket inside, making it easy to carry.
-You can screw the rubber tips to change the legs to a pointy end. So it could be slightly nailed to the ground if it would be needed.

Cons: -The thinner legs look a little weak and may not be very stable.

Other: I am satisfied with this product. It's a perfect tripod for amateur or beginner photographers due to its price. I highly recommend it.

  • Well-built, feature-packed

Pros: After having looked for months for a good, sturdy tripod and finding nothing but overpriced Manfrottos and Gitzos, etc, I decided to give this tripod a chance after reading the reviews below.
The things that this tripod can do put it up there with models that cost multiple times as much: quick release plate, locking ball head, adjustable feet, multiple leg angles, etc. The features on this thing are great. Theres even a mount on the bottom of the main arm to let you mount the camera upside-down for macro shots.
Build quality is great. Sure, Manfrottos are built better and are a tad lighter, but theyre also 2-3x the price! The legs are straight, they lock smoothly, and the angle adjustment works. The quick-release works smoothly with no binding, and the ball head is smooth and locks nice and sturdy-like.

Cons: Slightly heavier than I would like, but I cant complain. At least it comes with a carrying case!
It also smelled to high heaven when I opened it for the first time. Let this thing air outside!

Other: If you want a sturdy, quality tripod at half the cost of something from the store, get this.

  • Not bad, a little flimsy.

Pros: I bought this tripod after getting the 1.5 meter/5kg load rated tripod. the 1.5m was just a little too short for full staanding set up. this tripod is very nice looking and has a lot of useful functions. the ballhead is a decent size, very smooth and locks tight pretty good. best part of the tripod by far in my opinion. the bag is pretty good quality as well.(was not dirty) compass is neat, but not really needed. maybe if you are in the city and want to make sure your using light from a north facing window for shooting for the best light. the tripod is quite light for its size.

Cons: the legs are flimsy. they are metal but not a very heavy gauge. this makes the tripod lighter, but when it's set up it takes very little pressure to get the legs flexing. I was surprised by the lack of strenght in the tripod as the 5kg load rated tripod has much more solid legs.

Other: it's a good tripod for the money, especially the ballhead. perhaps if I had bought this tripod before the other I would not have noticed the flimsy legs so much, but as I was upgrading for stregth it was very noticable to me.

Pros: 1) Great Price 2) Travel Bag 3) Sturdy enough for Rebel & 70-200 (Looks like it can take a bit more load) 4)Good Packaging + Shipping

Cons: Lacks English manual though it isn't rocket science to learn how to use it.

Other: If you are on a budget, this is the best you can get for your $
