BWP31A Series embedded power line modem(power line carrier module/power line modem) is an embedded power line carrier module, with the data exchange between TTL level serial port and user device to achieve the transparent transmission of user data. EP-EP39 has A, B, C, D, 4 types as the distinction of different carrier frequency. With the integration of all kinds power line carrier interface units, this module can be directly connected to 220V AC power line, DC line, and even no-electrical conductors.
BW-EP39 operates at +12V and +5V power, adjustable 180bps-5400bps carrier baud rates.
With TTL level COM(UART), it communicates with MCU conveniently. By cross connection with RXD and TXD of MCU, it’s capable for users to do secondary development. The series baud rate is 9600bps, but other options are available upon customer’s request.
BW-EP39 PLC module provides half duplex communication function, operates at 220V/110V, 50/60Hz power line, DC line, and even no-electrical conductors. This module is capable to set up the data communication mode and the data communication length freely. Each module has a globally unique 6-bit identification code, which users can use as the ID of each module. Please refer to below chapters to know how to get the ID codes.
BW-EP39 PLC module offers transparent data communication channel. Users send data through serial port to PLC module, which modulates the data into carrier signal and send to power line. The module at the other side modulates the signal into data and send them through serial port to user’s device. The transmitted data is exactly same like the received data. Users may consider a pair of PLC modules as a direct data line. The between processes like data coding, data error correction, data packing, data verification are invisible to users. PLC data transmission is completely transparent, unrelated with user’s protocol. With the Spread spectrum encoding, the module has strong anti-interference ability, far transmission range, reliable data transmission. In the communication process, users can increase the reliability of data verification at the application layer. In same transformer, multiple EP-EP39 modules can be connected on the same power line; Under master-slave communication mode, EP-EP39 can work alone at different timing without interaction affect.
