  • Cheap but not brilliant.

Pros: Cheap flux, proper filled bottle. Delivered in good condition. It does what it's suppose to do but with some unwanted side effects.

Cons: This flux leaves traces that are hard to remove from integrated electronic circuit boards. Even not with a cleaning fluid. The solder looks not shiny anymore indicating a not well made contact. Great if you like to solder bigger things and you need to get the solder going but not useful for microelectronic circuits / SMD soldering.

Other: Buy if you want to repair big electronic equipment such as a dryer of washing machine. Do not use for microelectronics / SMD soldering.

Pros: the product appears to be good because I worked for a laptop reballing and everything seems fine, now the product is cheap because in my country mexico is expensive and maybe even something dicil to find in my area, so all good for me.

Cons: against only that should bring a syringe to avoid spilling the liquid more than needed and not waste it.

Other: I recommend it as other than it is cash is cheap

Pros: it really helps beginners and professionals in soldering hard places, hard to achieve. I bought this to help me in a job that had several welds very close to each other, and then Goot soldering flux made ??what should.

Cons: if you don't take some care you squeeze a lot the bottle and pouring much solder flux on plate, the bottle is very fragile and thin, but nothing that hinders services

Other: beside the cons i really think that i made a good buy, it is very cheap, have a good quality but is a little dificult to use, so i recommend it!

Pros: It has one pro only: it do its work... if you look for an help tinning electric wires for a washing machine or a toaster.

Cons: It leaves conductive residues that are hard to remove from highly integrated electronic boards.

Other: It is chep, it is from goot (that I think is/was a good specialist in soldering irons)... BUT probably it is NOT the product that you need.

  • Very bad! Very conductive!

Pros: This flux is very conductive and it gave me a big headache. Its residue is still conductive even after cleaning it with three different cleaners. It looks like the board absorbe it which coused many problems. I used this flux on board with microcontoler and 220V circuits on it. First it cause burst under 0805 capacitor on the 12V lines then it messed with two cristall oscilator tact so microprocesor could not work or could not work properly. Finaly it cause microprocesor to restart and it mess with LCD display when 220V relay is turned off. Finally I made new circuit board on which I did not used this flux and everything worked like charm.

Cons: This flux can be used only for soldering wires if you want to avoid sideeffects. Price is low but this is thill very bad flux.

Other: I would never buy this flux again and I gues I will not use any GOOT products.

Pros: This flux work exceptionally. I was amazed at the quality. Using this together with solder wick to clean up bridges when soldering a 100pin TQFP microcontroller (by hand) worked perfectly!Couldn't do the job without it. It's Cheap as chips!

Cons: The nozzle could be a little smaller for more control whilst releasing the flux (very minor though)

Other: Great price. Does the an excellent job at soldering small components. Great product. Recommend to all

Pros: * This is a good product, it does its work and it works very well.
    * In my country I have bought bad quality flux, and it was more expensive that this.
    * I have soldered sma ics with it.
    * I think that it is a good purchase.
    * Very strong soldering, non copper materials too.

    Cons: None:
    * It really works fine and its price is very good.
    * You will clean surface after soldering, but as any other flux.

Other: I have tested it for non copper soldering and it works fine too.

  • BEST FLUX EVER!!!

posted by citius on 06:52:19 G10T 28/10/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This is the best flux ive ever been using!!!
I go ICT-academy and we do very much soldering in our shool. My class and my teacher tested the flux when we soldered very small IC component on a cellular phones circuit board with very good success.

Cons: No Cons Not even the price!!!
I will recommend it for all electronics soldering jobs!!!

Other: On my freetime i repair broken cellular phones and this flux made my work easier and the result is better. no more bad solderings due to corrosion on the circuit board.

  • Its flux!

posted by Criggie on 20:28:33 G8T 13/08/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Its flux, it works great. I have a gas soldering iron which tends to gunk up quickly because it is so hot. A dip of the tip in flux cleans it right up.

Cons: Cons? the residue is a bit messy, but all flux is like that.

Other: If you solder (or sodder as americans seem to call it) then flux is important. Good enough and cheap.
