Pros: An excellent product. All you may ever need in one pack beats in cost all competition. For the price you get speed sensor, cadence sensor and heart rate sensor, all in wireless ANT+ protocol (low consumption) plus GPS and barometric logger. Also displays (but I do not know if it also logs) temperature

Cons: The old unit I bought had a better and slimmer heart rate belt. Like the one present in the DX photos. The Unit I just received has a belt like the Zephyr HxM with a soft belt and a sensor that you have to "button-up" to the belt. Much bulkier, I do not like.

Other: This is the second unit I bought. The first one bought 2 years ago) works fine on my road bike and I bought a second one to install on my mountain bike. I sometimes use both in parallel when with friends.

Pros: Very functional for the price, easy to use and set up, good included software, includes Cadence, creates a map of the route on the PC, heart rate monitor. Also includes a Speed sensor but not needed. The Cadence monitor has a little green LED that shows the battery is good and that the peddle magnet is operating the Cadence sensor

Cons: Software is 32 bit - be nice to upgrade to 64bit. Be nice to have a second mounting kit for my other bike

Other: With this functionality and included extras it is a bargain - but definately not a basement bargain, it competes well on quality and functionality for much higher priced GPS cycle computers

Pros: Very good overall build. Inclusive of Cadence as well as heart monitoring.

Cons: At the moment, the device is faulty due to unable to charge. Have tried different method, change adapter as well as USB cable but still unable to charge the device. Now fully dead. So for now have to rate the quality as satisfactory.

Other: Will be very happy and satisfied customer with the build quality as well as functionality. This is my first time bought here with defective due to unable to charge.

Pros: GB-580P is sturdy, well it made, great price taking into account that it contains a lot of sensors, screens are fully customizable, despite a lot of functions easy to operate. Quick fix gps.

Cons: no additional mounts - on the wrist etc.

Other: Very good product. I think I well worth the money.

Pros: Easy to use. The training gym pro software is good. You can up load the gps data (speed if done by gps, and your map and altitude) to strava. Picks up the satellites really quickly compared to Garmin 500. (ive borrowed a mates Garmin 500 and you have to spend ages waiting for it to acquire the satellites where this just picks them as quick as you can put your shoes and helmet on pretty much)

Cons: Would be cool to be able to customize the screens. It took me a while to work out how to use the training gym pro so would be nice if it was easier to use with clearer instructions. Needs a better mounting system like the Garmin has or come with a spare mount or two or at least have the option of buying some more mounts. Bit of a pain having to use zip ties every time i switch bikes.

Other: Well worth the money. Just as good as the Garmin 500 if not better in some ways (acquiring satellites)

Pros: Awesome price. Very easy to use. All optional itens included.

Cons: It's not plug 'n'play with strava, but I think this is a qustion of time. Only one color, doesn't match with the color of my bike.

Other: Awesome product. When I bought i didn't expect to much, but for my lucky, I was wrong.

  • Recomended buy

Pros: Small and discreet. Sensors for cadance and speed have LED to indicate correct working. My old computer lacked the LED so when no data it was impossible to trace the error. GPS is working fine, barometric pressure is a plus

Cons: You can't download the track unless you install the software. PC will not recognize this as an external disk. You need to download via the provided software and then either use the soft or export to sportracks google map etc. Not really a problem but could do better

Other: It is definitively not a Garmin EDGE but unbeatable for the price. Unless you need a moving map this is all the computer your bike will ever need

  • Easy to use, customizable and very accurate

Pros: Screens are customizable, you can define what parameters you want to see (speed, cadence, distance, slope, etc.). I've tested the GPS recording a couple of routes and works very accurate.

Cons: If you want to record a route in a road around of high buildings, the GPS can take a lot of time finding satellites, and the accuracy can be affected.

Other: Very good price and very good product. The shipping to Chile took about 1 month in a Christmas time, so in general I'm very happy with this purchase.

  • Surpasses all my expectations

Pros: 1. The GPS receiver in this seems pretty strong. On the first use it takes about a minute to lock on to the satellites but on subsequent use it is faster. It has never lost the satellites on being used. 2. It seems pretty customizable. I can customize upto 5 pages and decide how many fields I want in which page and which ones. I can do all this either from the device itself or on the computer and transfer the setting to the device. 3. It has barometer and a compass built in which really adds to the accuracy of the GPS. 4. It even has an actual temperature probe which can tell you the real time temperature. Useful for people who log temperature too on their workout diary. 5. The build quality seems very good. There are no shiny cheap plastic things on this thing.. 6. I like the auto pause feature. It stops the timer as soon as it detects that you are stationary (through the speed sensor). It auto resumes when I start. It auto resumes even if I paused manually.

Cons: 1. I wish the wrist strap was available with this product so that it would have been easier to use for running too. I use it for running anyways, I carry it like I use to carry my phone earlier when using runtastic or strava. 2. I need it to work with Linux which it currently doesn't do. They have promised to support linux soon but I am waiting eagerly.

Other: There are no down sides to buying this product. You get excellent quality at an unbeatable price.

  • Great device for great price

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I agree with the previous reviewers that the price value is unbeatable. All sensors you need are there (GPS,cadence, speed and HR). The device is sturdy and waterproof. Sensors are precise. Easy to operate. Also active users forum and support from GSsport.

Cons: GPS fixing sometimes takes a while. The delay from sensors to device is still a bit high (e.g. if you're slowing to standstill the device shows the slowdown with a delay). Hope they fix this with new firmware. This delay is not visible in the output files. The trackback function is not very precise in urban like environments. You easily miss your turn. If you're riding in environments with less turns, it's no problem.

Other: For this price you can't go wrong as far as GPS, HR,cadence and speed tracking on a bike. Just buy it you won't be disappointed. Just don't expect a Garmin 850 touchscreen like device.
