  • Not for heavy cameras

Pros: This flexible joints camera tripod is very very light, it has a quick release plate, that I found very usefull. It works perfectlly with my gopro

Cons: Don't espect to use it with DSLR cameras, the tripod will colapse if you try. The tension of the junctions are not intended to be for heavy weights

Other: Perfect for small cameras, not for heavy ones

Pros: This is one of the best tripods ever. And I mean the machinics. You can fix the camera on everything in every direction. The legs are strong enough, to hold a UltraZoom Cam (the mid-version).

Cons: There are no cons on this product!

Other: This product is really a very good help for all photograps. I use the mini and mid tripod really often and I´m really satisfied with the quality and durability. I´ll order a few pcs more, because this is also a nice gift, because still not everone knows this kind of tripods...

Pros: This is a very good imitation of the Gorillapod. The legs and head are exactly the same. The length is also the same. You can head off a picture click on it, and the camera fixed screws. So you can easily store your device and later back on the Gorillapod places.

Cons: Het enige kleine minpunt is dat de statief minder gewicht kan dragen, maar toch nog meer dan voldoende voor een compactcamera.

Other: Very good imitation of the real Gorillapod!

Pros: CHEAP! Allways nice, easy to shape the tripod to make nice shots.

Cons: Idea is perfect , except the build quality is not that good ( but what do you expect) I used my Canon 600D with it and it could not hang on anything (logical due the weight)

Other: Be safe with it and for the small bucks it's worth it!

  • Gorillapod mockup: Almost does the job

Pros: Flexible, quite tough and sturdy, Hotswap, and capable of holding heavier cameras (mine is around 500g; unsure if it will hold up to 5D weight) Small and portable You can wrap this around most objects found indoors and outdoors. If no object is found, simply straighten legs and use as a small tripod =) hurray

Cons: Rubbery bits (silicone) not very grippy, unlike the Gorillapod, you cannot use the grippy bits to hold onto a door. This tripod must hook or wrap around things to stay in place. it is rather difficult to level the camera for the shot, this is not due to the product itself, but rather the design. The twistable mount allows for flexible maneuverability, but requires adjustment to level shot. Also the hotswap button feels a bit cheap

Other: Good for indoor and outdoors. Good for heavier cameras (not compacts). Flexible and wraps around things. Not grippy enough silicone rings. Not Bad for the price (Gorillapods are much more pricey)

Pros: - Enter into any shape.
    - Professional cameras can easily carry the largest among the pros.
    - Camera bags fit easily.
    - Muadilleri yaninda çok daha ucuz olmasi.

Cons: - Less would have only a little better quality materials used. However, this camera konumlandirmanizda not pose any problems.

Other: - Canon EOS 600D is one of the best products that I can say for the camera. Can position your camera anywhere.
-I do not think the joints would be licking the product easily.
-Diger tripotlara göre size çok daha fazla avantajlar saglamaktadir.

Pros: A very affordable place for some better known brands on the market, although it might not be quite as good

Cons: The joints wear out pretty easily, and can also come off. But that's just to place them again

Other: For the price of this, I think you get an okay product, although it may be surpassed by other brands, but when we talk ockås a different price tag.
I would buy another one of my would break at a later date? Yes, I would

Pros: Cheap, light and usefull. I use it mainly for holding strobes anywhere I need. They bend well and can get a good grip on almost any surface. The detachable head is a must, and very easy to lock. Don't forget a coin!

Cons: Won't hold too heavy flashes very well if hanging, like an SB-900, and tend to get softwer in time. When in need, you better make them straight up. But still usefull.

Other: A nice product that, in my point of view, doesn't pretend to be a Gorilla replacement. Great for strobing and putting those small unit flashes anywhere you like.

  • Great little tripod for a small camera

posted by antonpoiss on 12:49:31 G12T 03/12/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I'm a professional photographer and have used this tripod for over a year. I do NOT use it with my pro photo gear, but I do use it as a video tripod for my pocket cameras and it is perfect for that. I've been using various sorts of tripods for years (plastic ones, metal ones, small ones, big ones, bean bags etc) and this has been one of the best. None of those "falling apart" complaints like some other users have, but then I haven't exposed it to African climate either. Unlike with standard tripods or bean bags, I can really set up my pocket camera up absolutely anywhere, even hanging from a tree.

Cons: Maybe it feels a bit flimsy, but nothing has come loose so far.

Other: Great little tripod for a pocket camera.
