  • Very good device for every PC

Pros: Just works, no drivers needed in Win7 - I use it for XBMC and it looks much nicer than keyboard+mouse for a HTPC.

Cons: No batteries included, but for this price I think it's really not a con! Also, the mouse isn't working that great.

Other: Easy and convenient remote operation for setting up and interacting with a media-center style computer. Does all i could ask, while being cheap. Recommended.

Pros: Works amazingly well! Here's a list of pro's: - Suitable for a Raspberry Pi - Works with XBMC - You can use it as a mouse - You can use it as a keyboard - It has shortcut buttons making it even easier to start for example your media center - It really has a button for everything! - Doesn't need any drivers - Works from pretty far away, you don't really need to point at the receiver.

Cons: The buttons are sometimes a bit hard to push, if you're browsing through your movie collection you fingers might get tired. (only con I could think of)

Other: If you want to control your PC, Laptop or Raspberry Pi from the couch, this is the perfect remote!

Pros: Excellent remote for this price. Bought it to use it with XBMC on a Raspberry Pi. Plugged in the IR receiver, and was able to use the remote straight away! Receiver works excellent even if it's not in plain sight.

Cons: Build quality is a little cheap, but what else do you expect for this price! For this price it's pretty decent!

Other: Build quality is simple, but the remote and receiver work excellent.

Pros: The remote sends keyboard presses to the usb which make it easy to configure No drivers = No hassel Decent Range Mouse function works extremely well for a 9 dollar remote Using it with XBMC running open elec on a raspberry pi with no problems

Cons: Grasping at straws here but it didn't come with batteries (which it said) The arrow keys are in a weird place on the remote but nothing a little practice can't fix

Other: With no drivers and a 9 dollar price tag, it's the perfect addition to your HTPC setup!!

Pros: + Good build quality, better than I'd expect from a product in that price range. + Works right out-of-the box, no driver install needed, plug and play + Mouse control

Cons: - Difficult to find keys in the dark - No indication for Numlock status

Other: Great product, easy to use. The remote does what is says.

  • Good for the price PC remote controller :)

    posted by massaro1956 on 17:10:42 G2T 16/02/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - It is plug and play - No drivers needed - It will probably work with some third party RC software so you can program the buttons, but I did not try it.

Cons: - Build seems a little bit cheap, but so is the price, so this is not such a con; - Buttons are a little bit hard to press, I think if you use it enough time the buttons will become softer but I only used it for a month; - The "mouse" button works a little bit odd and it is not very useful; - It dos not have the "green" Media Center button.

Other: If you are looking for a cheap PC remote control this will do the job for you, but if you are picky with your equipment you should definitely choose some more expensive model.

Pros: Cheap - Great build quality - Compatible with KMPlayer, XBMC...Very easy to use. It comes with a single sheet as user manual, but it wasn't needed.

Cons: you have to direct the remote directly at the dongle for it to work. This is normally what we do when using a remote ...

Other: Very easy to use. this remote does what is says, all the buttons do something in windows. It is plug and play - No drivers needed. it does even get a mouse.

  • Cool MCE Remote Replacement

posted by geldiev on 08:58:13 G1T 04/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Excellent workmanship. Looks very similar to the MS MCE Remote, but the number and location of the buttons do not match. Does not require drivers. Perfectly compatible with XBMC 11 Eden, uses all the features of the media center. Reconfigurable buttons, but there are stories of four predefined keys ABTSD - which then allows you to set the desired programs on these buttons. IrDA signals on cable length of 75 cm, is sufficient in most cases. Stable reception of dark glass in an equipment rack. It is convenient to the presence of emulation computer mouse and power management directly from the remote control.

    Cons: Not present

Other: Best deal for a reasonable price

  • The number of buttons is too damn high

posted by DXwoof on 03:30:36 G1T 01/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It works plug and play in windows 7, works well in windows media center.

Cons: There's too many buttons you're never going to use, at least not with the programs I use. The sudo mouse button is slow over all the lay out is a bit confusing. But once you get used to it it's not bad

Other: they layout might be a little weird, but it fits in the hand nicely and once you put in the battery has a nice heft to it, I think it would look better in black, which is what sku. 34434 looks like, but I haven't used that one.

  • cool remote, a bit pricey.

posted by DanKorets on 07:49:09 G12T 27/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The remote is very easy to use, once you get it, you plug in the USB infrared receiver and it just works out of the box. It arrives without batteries though, so make sure you have AAA batteries ready for it. Mouse control is quite intuitive and allows simple actions such as menu->subtitle choice among other things.

Cons: It is a bit slow if you want to type and use the full keyboard power. Also, the price is a bit high considering the fact it is just a remote control with a dozen buttons (8.5$).

Other: Cool product, not a very high price, I think it's a good buy.
