  • Best emulation console

posted by inspectorD on 16:50:21 G9T 01/09/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Nice design, white one is totally amazing, handy buttons. Good emulation capabilities out of the box. Voice recorder. Radio :) You can install linux on it, and run even more emulators or other useful apps. Official SDK(native OS) for creating new games emulators etc. Affordable price.

Cons: MiniSD - it's better to get adapter from dx , because I was little bit tired tying to find suitable adapter in local stores. Poor screen view angles. R buttons is too small.

Other: Best emulation console for such lovely price.

  • Dingoo A320 Review

posted by vzabarkas on 22:52:35 G4T 22/04/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very nice design looks like the Nintendo style. All the buttons are perfect. Great battery, so you can play games up to 7-8 hours without battery charging. The display is not bad. True stereo speakers on board. You can connect your console with TV. This is fantastic multimedia device because you can play games, wathching the video, listen to music, read the books, listen to the radio You can simply upgrade your Dingoo A320 with the Linux based Dingux when your console became a place for various homebrew applications.

Cons: Not very good Sega Genesis emulation

Other: I think Dingoo A320 is the best emulator system for games of NES & Sega Mega Drive era. 100% must have for the people who can't live without NES & Sega games. I fall in love with my Dingoo ...

Pros: Design is simple but very nice A ready to use pack ( just the ac adaptator missed for me) Performances are very good and many games run at their maximum speed now i found the good emulators Very nice geek experience ^^ so good to re-discover all these games !

Cons: You'll need to experiment by your own the installations of different softwares ( but it's the game...): i had to reboot manually very often at the beginning, now fixed !

    Other: Thank you Dealextreme !

  • Cong

posted by cxong on 19:23:52 G2T 13/02/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Cheap - lots of games with emulators - light - small

Cons: - The TV out cable that came with it is very poor quality and has trouble plugging in to the device - The D-pad is poor quality and it's almost impossible to do diagonals with it. Suggest buyers purchase a d-pad replacement - The flash player performance is bad and the video starts lagging the sound soon after playback - No volume controls, must set volume in each application

Other: The Dingoo A-320 does what it says at the right price. Cheap with a few kinks.

  • Good old-school console

    posted by XRain777 on 15:16:31 G12T 29/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Plays many video formats even without converting. Has nice interface, themes and customizable menu colors. Big built-in memory size is more than enough for all your games. Supports many platforms such as NES, SNES, GBA and others. Has TV-out, so you can play games or watch movies on TV.

Cons: Some built-in emulators lag, some games don't work.

Other: Good game console. If you like old games, buy it!

  • Cheap and well made.

    posted by Heavyrose89 on 12:26:24 G12T 26/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Supports many different sound and video formats, Picks up radio stations really well, has surprisingly high quality speakers and screen. The build quality is actually really good and does not feel cheap at all, all the buttons work and are easy to reach. Battery life is incredible, I was able to get 8 hours out of it with one charge.

Cons: The lack of volume control slide is bit of annoying but not really experience ruining. Some of the build in emulators just plain suck, SNES one probably the most. the placement of the headphone plug is bit annoying since it is on the side of console, using normal headphones can be bit troubleshooting but with one of those "L" shaped ones you don't have as much trouble.

Other: Great for classic games, decent for movies, incredibly good radio, an worth of while MP3 player and on top of that it's battery life is incredible, well worth of buying!

  • Great Product if you know how to use it

posted by Richmo on 16:22:16 G11T 04/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -Great emulation software -Can play so many consoles including: gameboy advance (also original and colour), SNES, NES, Sega Megadrive/Genesis, Neo Geo and so many more -Light and easily held (and I have big hands) -Quality and build of the console is very good -Can be hooked up to a tv if you want to (with an AV cable in the box) -Can play radio/music/movies etc. as well as games, so it has other functions (less useful obviously but still pretty cool)

Cons: -The one I bought is a certain lcd model released by the company (ILI 9338) which has a dodgy screen, the contrast is quite high on it and it's a hardware problem, yet it can be fixed by installing the necessary files, it is disappointing to see this happen as I have to put the Dingoo down a lot. However when I get a mini sd adapter I can fix it, so no worries for me there. :) -The L and R shoulder buttons are awkward to reach and if needed in games like mario kart, you may struggle to play them. -The D-Pad is not the best, I was dissapointed at this when first using because it is stiff and doesn't move a lot, I have got used to this to some extent but should be improved really.

Other: An overall good product, but even better if modified to your liking. I recommend to those who are at least quite able and experienced with computers, if you're a novice you may struggle. Yet there are many tutorials out there to download the rightful software and drivers for the device.

  • One of the best Handheld emulator devices

    posted by storm99 on 04:16:45 G8T 10/08/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: it does everything with emulators (you can even emulate commodore c64). Fan community support. Excellent battery life. very easy to use.

Cons: L/R buttoms, are not comfortable.

Other: You cannot judge this device on the performance of the emulators, currently i mainly use it for GB/NES/SMS/GG/Genesis, and only the Genesis is lacking, this is not because of the hardware though, and after installing open dingux, even that became playable without major gripes.

  • A Dingoo Stole My Baby and Changed My Life

posted by gaetanobattaglia on 12:51:33 G8T 07/08/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: When you get to know this amazing device, you will become addicted. I have about maybe 30 different emulators on this handy contraption and 10,000 plus games. This is the second a320 in my collection and I am blessed to have it to scratch my retro gaming itch. Handles a lot of older systems really well, however, if you want to play Intellevision or the Atari 2600, you have to install OpenDingux.

Cons: The con about this device is the fact that it has the ILI9338 screen, which leaves the device's screen with a blueish tint. I have OpenDingux installed so that helps with the screen a bit, but you'll notice that something is just not right. It's not that big of a deal for me, but I can understand why some people may not like it. Besides that, this is perfect for retro gaming. Great support can be found with a very active community on www.dingoonity.org.

Other: I bought this device because I wanted to try OpenDingux and play Atari 2600. I made sure to buy it before this website's stock ran out, especially since a320's are no longer being made (according to most websites searched). If you're thinking about getting this device, don't think, just buy it and you won't be disappointed. Google for roms and google for help if you find yourself lost. Now stop reading and buy this!
