  • Good light

Pros: Works great, very bright light. Easy to use, resonable cheap for the brighness

Cons: - The battery hatch is poorly designed! It did not take long time before it broke so now I need to wrap adhesive tape around it to make it work - The batteries are also hard to remove, seems like the battery comparent is too tight

Other: Good light but the battery hatch will probably break. I would probably look if I can some other headlight with better designed battery hatch

  • Nice light - But no focus

Pros: Bright! Good throw. Tight beam. Uses 3x AA. I use ni-mh rechargeables.

Cons: No focus/adjust for beam. I often find it too tight. It's claimed to have lo/med/hi settings but there's hardly any difference between any of the settings. It's just more clicks required to turn it on/off.

Other: It's held up well, over two years of light use.

  • Excellent headlamp, but not solid as a rock

posted by MisterNobody on 06:14:32 G6T 28/06/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Brilliant amount of light, with good throw. Batteries last for ages, maybe 8..10 hours on high. If you need a high powered headlamp, this is brilliant bang for your buck.

Cons: Like others mention, the closing "battery cap" twists into place. It's easy to break the pins off the cap, but its also easy to be careful and avoid this when refitting the battery cap. I would not let this prevent me from buying it so long as I was aware of this.
Also, this is very bright for a headlamp (150 lumen easy). This is great for you, but not so great for your now annoyed friend. I'd like to think this is avoidable, but the low-med-high settings are all about the same.

Other: Buy if you are not going to be forceful refitting the battery cap (I don't have a problem with this). I have bought 3 of these now, all still going strong.
Also, at the time of posting I can't find a more powerful headlamp on DX.

  • nice product - not recommending it!

Pros: This headlamp has a great cree led. Its light is very strong and bright. the head strap is very good and adjustable. I used it a lot when working at night or on Offroad trips...

Cons: the casing is made of cheap plastic and does not last long. the closing pins has broken after few times that it was used.

Other: I would not buy this item again. it has poor quality!

  • Good design with bad quality plastics.

    posted by nr420 on 23:16:32 G2T 08/02/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Has a nice throw. I used this while cycling and was often able to get driver's attention by pointing the light to their faces, tens of meters away.

Cons: Quality of plastics is questionable. Plastic body holding battery compartments cover broke after few weeks, making it useless without extensive amount of rubber bands.

Other: Would be a nice head light, if it wasn't so fragile.

  • Excellent lamp, I love it

posted by sammybones on 20:44:38 G9T 26/09/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Great form-factor; looks cool with the aluminum housing. Very bright, with very tight throwing hot-spot, and decent spill on the sides. Aluminum reflector and housing keeps the LED cool too.
The button is nice and easy to click.

Cons: Like others have said, the battery door isn't the best. You can always just duct-tape in closed. The differentiation of the modes is not very great. The low beam is plenty bright, and there isn't much point to the high beam.

Other: I took this out on a long night hike the night I received it. Worked perfectly.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: - really bright headlight.
    - lightweight.
    - small enough to wear with convenience.

Cons: The battery door is not reliable. You have to push hard to close it tightly enough.

Other: The headlight is worth its price. It is brighter than all those 50-led headlamps and smaller and lighter than those.

  • Great light but fragile

posted by aussiefx on 06:22:36 G6T 15/06/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It's a great little light. Really bright and pretty good run time given it's on 3 x AAA. Very light overall pretty good.

Cons: The batteries can get a bit stuck in the compartment sometimes. Also, the biggest problem is the little plastic lugs that lock the battery cover in place. They're very small and fragile. If you're unlucky enough to drop the light and it lands on the battery side they just crack and then you can't close the battery compartment any more. I've now got 2 of these lights I can't use any more - teach me to let the kids use them when we went camping :(

Other: A part from that one flaw it really is a great light for the price. Just be gentle with it.

  • Bright Light Works Well

posted by jhanratt on 22:22:05 G5T 13/05/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: very bright. decent quality light. decent quality straps. Much brighter than my coleman headlamp. Comfortable to wear. very functional. like all headlamps it's always shining right where you are looking. Handsfree.

Cons: The light assembly and body is a little on the large side. not a big deal for most work, but working under my car I prefer my small but not as bright coleman. The middle triple A battery sticks in the battery holder. The diameter of the hole is just a little to small.

Other: I'm happy with it. I'd buy it again.

  • A powerful headlamp

posted by miihkaliN on 01:24:15 G5T 09/05/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: + power very well suitable for biking + beam focus well suitable for biking + good build quality + economic (batteries last long)

Cons: - the various modes are useless (almost the same as full power) - blinking mode not available - head strap could be longer (a bit too stretched for helmet installation)

Other: I'm using this for biking and I'm well satisfied. Blinking mode would be nice, instead of the useless power modes. For the price, this is ok.
