    Pros: - Very cheap

Cons: - Sorry, but it's terrible compared to the other solder I have. - Very easy to get cold solder joints - Dull matte finish when it cools down.

Other: I'm kind of disappointed with the quality. But I guess I'm spoiled with better quality solder. If you don't expect your products to last that long, or if you are just repairing some old non-essential equipment, it's a great price.

  • great solder low price

Pros: it's nice thin solder, for soldering smaller components which don't need a lot of solder. a lot of solder for a low price.

Cons: there isn't a holder for the solder, and by that i mean that you can't put the end of the solder somewhere so it doesn't come off of the roll. so i drilled 4 small holes myself.

Other: it's good solder, but not to take with you, unless you modify the roll so the solder doesn't easily come off the roll. i'm just a beginner and i disagree with the rest of the comments, because it seems to stick to the components quite good... but i'm just a beginner...

Pros: great solder for this price, it melts fast and easy, it's easy to use, it has flux, it's thick so it's great for precise work on small projects

Cons: none, it's solder, buy more than one, you might fall in love in it

Other: still reading this... seriously, don't think just buy... trust me I'm an engineer :)

Pros: -Great solder.- -Reasonably priced.- -Cost is about a fifth of what it runs at "Radio Shack".- -Very fine diameter which is great for small PCB work.-

Cons: -None that I can see.-

Other: -Well worth the wait to get such a great deal on this solder.- -What's not to love, it is solder, it is cheap and it works!!-

  • More than enough for hobbyist

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -End of wire was neatly taped down with a little bit of tape. -Enough solder to last a couple of dozen projects. -Some soldering stations have built in holders for solder wire in reel form.

Cons: -Wire thickness not compatible for SMD work, I use it out of necessity, but it requires extra effort. -Flux doesn't seem to cut it for some older component leads, a secondary source of flux needed on more oxidised parts.

Other: Worth it, a great source of solder. May need secondary source of flux. I prefer reel solder compared to solder that comes in those tubes. The tube ones are less handy.

Pros: Wow! Because of the price, i didn't expect much. Its so much better than i expected, i cant describe! I have used it to fix lots of toys for friends kids and so on...

Cons: Well, its not the best quality, but you get much more than you expect for this price! Maybe, it could be in a better package. But i cant complain!

Other: Buy buy buy! You cant go wrong with this for the not so important stuff you need to solder!

Pros: First of all it is really a cheap product useful for electronic hobbyist who wants to solder something on the go. Second this product is great and has a really long wire and can be used for really long time which I intend to Thirdly, the price, this was so cheap for me. I saw one selling for USD10 in my country and the quality ! Fourthly, it can easily be used by any novice (I am using it)

Cons: It is not lead free , and its flux smell is a bit strong for my taste. Had really bad packaging. Its plastic holder was broken.

Other: Does what it intends to: solder for cheap and on the go Can you please produce more of such cheap product. It is really helpful for hobbyits from developing countries who wants to learn more on electronics and repair all kind of broken objects or even creates new electronics object

  • good thin solder

posted by arnoldasgr on 09:51:32 G10T 25/10/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: thin 60/40 tin/lead alloy not that lead-free rubish ( lead boils at 1,750C so smoke comes only from flux!!! and you solder about 400C) has flux in it a lot of it, guarantees long usage time price is really good. quick cool down and hardening time have many usages, like soldering simple wires or DIY kits

Cons: none so far, good item need more flux in it

Other: great item for price, really useful did not regret buying it. when run out og it going to buy more. not comfortable to use in spool, so i wind some of and use it.
