Pros: This sensor gives you a accuracy of +-2ºC and +-5RH for humidity, which fair enough for several projects. My first atmospheric logger worked just fine. Now I have updated with the DHT22.

Cons: You cannot rely too much on the data collected from this sensor. It has a very low accuracy for humidity and temperature. For certain projects it will just not suite.

Other: Fair price for a fair sensor.

  • Very impressive for the price

Pros: It works fine. It's cheap. Easy to use an interface with Arduino; Temperature and humidity readings are reasonably stable and precise.

Cons: No labels on the output pins.

Other: Good quality for the price. You can probably buy an "Thermometer Hygrometer" for less than $12,00, but its much fun to do it yourself!

  • easy to use - very good for learning

Pros: The price is good. The module sits nicely on a breadboard and is easy to connect to your Arduino. Build is strong enough and soldering is well made. Accuracy matches my other thermometers and electronic thermostats in the house as well as the humidity reading on my dehumidifier.

Cons: Probably not suited for projects where accuracy is critical. Does not have decimal readings, only integer increments. Could be limited by the library I was using.

Other: Very interesting to test out LCD display using meaningful data. Can be use for projects where high accuracy is not required.

  • It is okay but no the most accurate.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It is really easy to use. Only has 3 wires: Signal, 5V and Ground (GND) and you can measure temperature and humidity. Price is very good and the sensor works fine. You can find lot of examples on internet. Just attach to Arduino, download the library and start measure.

Cons: You can't measure temperature under 0 Celsius and the accuracy it not very well. Other sensors as a LM35 is better. For measure humidity is a good sensor, however it is a bit slow when the humidity changes quickly.

Other: It is okay but no the most accurate.

  • Not the most accurate

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Easy enough to wire up - the middle pin didnt appear to be labelled but S is signal and - is ground so the middle one must be power, I think it can take 3.3V or 5V in

Cons: Poor accuracy at lower temperatures - seems to be reading about 5 degrees too high. Also I think the humidity might be out There was no documentation, but you can look it up There is a procedure to recalibrate the device through some extremes, I haven't tried this. With time the response deadens a bit

Other: Its okay but no the most accurate. Not sure if DHT22 is better.

Pros: good product it works perfectly and is very cheap. I connect to Raspberry Pi without problem and now I can see temperature and humidity.

Cons: You can find istruction on Adafruit to connect to raspberry pi and this item have the resistor 4,5k on the data pin so you can connect directly to raspberry without any problem, and the price is low than the single dth11 component

Other: with example on adafruit I can write temperature and humidity every hour on a excel file spreadsheet in google docs account

  • Accuracy is not great

Pros: Cheap, easy to use, gives you temperature and humidity using only one dataline. I use it with Arduino + DHT11 library that can be found on the internet.

Cons: Not very accurate, datasheet says +/- 2C. When I log temperature for a day, I see kind of spikes of 1-2C. I do not believe the actual temperature shows that kind of variation. "Average" temperature seems to agree with my room thermostat within a degree, which is not that bad.

Other: Works but signal is not stable enough to use, for me at least.

  • Perfect temperature and humidity sensor

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: With only 3 wires: S_ignal, 5V and GND you can get infos which you can use to measure temp. and humidity. Price is very good and the sensor works fine. You can get the Temperature, % humidity and the Dew Point for the combination of Temperature and % Humidity. You can find lot of examples on internet. Just attach to Arduino download the library and start measure.

Cons: Not measure under 0 Celsius

Other: Good sensor and cheap, i recommend it. You can use this product with 3.3V without problem.

Pros: Very good quality, you can know exactly what temprature and humidity is. You get very precise lavel of the megerment.

Cons: I see no cons at all. May be just one - both of unit have slightly rotated position of blue mesh. It doesn't prevent unit from working properly but it do not looks very well. So it's no cons but just a little imperfection, that's all.

Other: I would recomment it to all my friends who interedtes in arduino projects.
