  • Nice relay board with opticouplers for safety.

Pros: It does work very easily and you do not need even a microcontroler to use it. Can handle 220V few amps as I need.

Cons: I did not find any cons so far. If I find something I will post it here.

Other: I definitely reccomend this over the one without optocouplers for higher safety. If you considering do not hesitate and buy it. It is cheap.

  • Good product at a very interesting price

Pros: The main advantage of this product is that the input is optically insulated. This is particularly relevant for me as I need to connect the board to an expensive National Instruments I/O board. Beside this, the product is cheap, compact, and reasonably well assembled. It has good connectors and useful status LEDs.

Cons: Despite the use is quite easy, any kind of instruction or technical information is missing and difficult to find in the net.

Other: Almost impossible to find this quality at this price.

  • Excellent four channel control module - Easy to use - Very practical

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I've used some much more expensive computer controlled modules in the past that were similar to this but this one beats them all for quality to price. Can easily be adapted to most computer interfaces and also easily controlled by an Arduino or Raspberry PI etc. Easy to configure and control with a program or Arduino.

Cons: None that I can think of -

Other: Unbeatable for quality to price. A must have module for gadget users.

  • very good quality, excellent first impression

Pros: quite intuitive but had to Google a lot to find some tutorial (used Google translate to get from French - http://skyduino.wordpress.com/2012/05/10/test-breakout-relais-funduino-de-keyes/)

Cons: missing documentation, I have found out that the board work more reliably with Arduino if I let in 12V/1.5A (that power Arduino board - the 9V pin) and common digital out does the switching of IN1-IN4 without further problems

Other: great piece - I like it

Pros: Well made circuity with extra protection from the opto-isolators. nice design and component quality were used. no need from extra VCC line, you can get it from your MCU cause its 5V relay. usefull indicator (NO NC) it helps a lot when you are build your stuff on a rush.

Cons: i dont have any negative impressions about this product.

Other: This circuit is very usefull for home automation projects. And its very difficult to find (at least here in Campina Grande - PB - Brasil) 5V relays. There are others 4x5V relays here on DX, even cheaper then this one. But with extra protection from the optocouplers this one is my very best indication

  • good quality, great value

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Has full electronics loaded, including opto-isolators, amplifiers and cute indicator LEDs. Nice connector terminals. Worked great out of the box. Just right for Arduino, no need for additional power feed for operation.

Cons: No documentation, and a bit hard to find online. I still haven't figured out what the "com" pin is for. For some reason I get a few rapid relay clicks when Arduino starts up, but maybe it can be set up better.

    Other: Great buy.
