  • bought for a toy/kids guitar

Pros: Very cheap, seem like they are decent quality. I bought these for a kids toy guitar to replace the strings on hers that were broken. I don't know how like "in tune" these strings are for more professional / actual guitar players but they work just fine for the kids guitar.

Cons: none that i have noticed.

Other: Id get them if you want to try and see if they will work right and "in tune" on a real guitar. I am not sure how different kids guitars are, but i certainly know its not anywhere close to being intune lol.

Pros: It looks and in fact is great!!! It is very resistent and it was very easy to put it on my guitar. The packets have the informations about the order the string should be. eg: 1st, 2nd... etc.

Cons: Nothing, unless my ignorance... =(

Other: I recommend it! It was the first time i changed my guitar's strings and i did not have any problem. Excellent quality physical and in sound.

Pros: 11-52 gauge. Very light. Bright sounding. Aluminum white colored. Strings were packed seperately. Pretty good packaging work.

Cons: I won't complain about $2 guitar strings. But you gotta know that it's not a high-quality product. You can easily break one by bending. Just be careful. Mine are good for now. I suggest you not to gig with these strings equipped.

Other: This is a good piece of hardware. I'm gonna buy more soon. I recommend you to buy at least 2 packs if you think buying this.

Pros: It is a well built set of strings, with no bad first impressions. These are really high tension strings, so be careful as you tune it in order not to break them.

Cons: none so far, they've been working great. I'm a little worried about the tension, but nothing that bothers my way of playing it.

Other: Way cheaper than the ones I find around my city. Buy in bulk to have some replacements.

  • Great for a beater guitar

posted by Jongser on 13:58:43 G8T 08/08/2012 certificated customer

Pros: The price! They are individually bagged. They have yet to break!

Cons: The sound is cheap obviously. Clearly the best material and process isn't used on these strings. Not the best at holding tune.

Other: These are cheap strings but you can't beat the price for the beater you strum around the campfire.

  • Not very good guitar strings

posted by Orzak on 08:09:30 G7T 27/07/2012 certificated customer

Pros: This pack of strings comes inside a nice (and weird XD) plastic bag. If you are not going to bend the strings too much, these will be ok for you, but see the cons. At the beggining you won't have problems with them, you will think... "wow, they sound cool" They are cheap, very cheap. I've seen these same strings in a local shop for 5€.

Cons: Build quality is really bad. The strings start to break up slowly (unwind), and finally you will have to remove them. They won't last long.

    Other: Try them ;)

Pros: For the price are really a good buy for your practice / camp guitar (but go easy with them, see below), the sound is ok i had expensive ones that sounded worst than this ones.

Cons: Tune them at first is a bit difficult, you need to let them to accustom to the guitar tension, i started playing just after the change and i broke the 3rd one, after one week with them (the 3rd one is from another set) the strings stay in tune (not at 100% but is ok).

Other: Good strings for the price, be easy at changing / tune them and u will have strings for a long time for practicing.

  • Great for the price, buy a few sets though!

posted by BluMelon on 20:50:51 G1T 19/01/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very cheap for a full set of guitar strings
Packaged well in separate little plastic bags inside a bigger plastic case
    Decent sound quality

Cons: The 3rd string broke after a month or so and according to some other posts, others may have had similar problems with the 3rd string (second one is still going strong though)
After a few weeks of use you'll start to notice the strings going copperp-ish where they've had a lot of finger contact. Could be rust, but I think more likely some kind of paint rubbing off. Doesn't change sound quality though.

Other: Aside from the few unexpected things like the 3rd string breaking and the copper-colored tinge on some of the strings, these work just fine considering the crazy-cheap price they are.

  • cheap strings, low quality. broken easily

Pros: price - that's about it.
considering the above they don't sound that bad.

Cons: I changed all my guitar's strings as they were pretty old and 2 of this set broke as i tuned them for the first time. luckily i bought 2 sets so i put the replacement strings from the 2nd gauge. now about a week later few more strings broke and the ones that are left are already rusty.

Other: these are cheap strings. they don't sound too bad, although I wouldn't get them for recordings (even if i like to change strings frequently for recordings) and obviously I wouldn't want my strings to break during concerts nor to rust quickly at home. I find no practical need for these in particular whatever their price is - can't compromise on quality.

  • Cool, cheap strings for acoustic guitar :)

posted by Biznescat on 00:51:44 G7T 18/07/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I had bought these strings for my guitar and there was no problem, because first and foremost the music sounds very well with these strings, they are very easy to install strings is a very good price and also quality, I do spare time to playing guitar and learn music at school for several years, I've played with different strings on my guitar and I can safely say that the strings are just cool, it makes no sense to me to buy their own homes strings of abnormal prices, if DealExtreme which offers the same and a much better price range is to offer very large, but I choose this because everything is simple and clear SUPER

Cons: When it comes to cons, then I can say that there are no disadvantages, because the strings are really good and it will be good, if they behave well and closely with them to play well then everything will be fine

Other: If you want cheap, profitable, cool, beautiful, resonant strings then you are finded them HERE THEY ARE Alice Acoustic Guitar Strings (6-Piece Set) :)
