  • Nice gorilla like tripod

posted by Caunion on 04:06:54 G1T 25/01/2014 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Came wrapped in bubble plastic. It is pretty sturdy and can easily hold my Nikon D5200. The color setting purple / black ain't too bad. It's big enough. In overall it can keep your camera up approx 20-25 cm. It has a screw on top of a screw so it fits multiple camera's.

    Cons: None as of yet.

Other: Fine tripod and worth the money.

  • Good tripod!

posted by AdrianFalla on 17:37:17 G6T 07/06/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: A very good tripod that gives you what it promises. It is very strong and you feel that it is solid and is not going to break. I was afraid that the "balls" was going to be too lose, but they are just hard enough. This prevents the tripod from falling out of position.

Cons: The screw where the tripod is attached has the tendense to sometimes fall out. This is not a big problem, but can be annoying some times.

Other: Great deal. Recommend everyone to buy this one!

  • epic purchase for photographers

    posted by 13239 on 14:38:07 G5T 22/05/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -cheap like really really cheap in comparison to the branded version like a £30 saving spot on. . Easy to use looks all right seems to be really good quality . very solid and sturdy. no problems with my nikon d5100 with 18-108mm nikon lens.

Cons: id have rather it been all black or all purple , picky of me maybe but there it is. it lacks a ballhead for quick adjustment which is a shame as that would have really made this product perfect .

Other: if you have a camera and want a light tripod this is for you. if you have been eyeing the well known named brand of this product then this purchase is for you.

  • exciting

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It's a great toy even if you do not use it with a camera. It is cool to make interesting shapes out of it. I used it even to hang up some items. My children also did like to play with it. It is a nice tripod also. Works as expected.

Cons: The screw falls out, when adapter screw is removed and camera is not mounted. So it might get lost, when adapter screw is lost.

Other: Buy it and play with it. It's fun.

  • 3kg, NO WAY

posted by arvejaa on 10:23:03 G2T 22/02/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Light and easy to bring with you in the field.

Cons: Hard to get access to the fastening screw because of the narrow placement of the legs.

Other: My camera is 1,6 Kg including a 300mm lense and it is difficult to get a steady arrangement. The camera lean over as a result of the legs being not rigid enough in the joints. But if you are very carefully with the positioning and forming of the three legs, not to wide out, it works.

  • 99% happy with it

posted by sheelanageek on 04:53:13 G2T 12/02/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Small, light, steady and prehensile — I am really happy about it. Easy to twist the legs and hang it somewhere, it won't slip or fall. Purple color is nice and bright. I am using it with Olympus Pen (E-P2), fits nice.

Cons: A bit difficult to screw it on a camera — always need to use something like coin or another thin rigid thing.

Other: Totally worth to get this tripod — it doesn't take much place in the backpack and sometimes really comes in handy.

  • cheap quality, but enough for a compact cam

posted by jungleboogie on 14:33:07 G1T 28/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: cheap, quite adjustable, holds easily a compact camera (point-and-shoot type)

Cons: i feel as if it is going to break someday while i'm adjusting it, but the fact is it still haven't shown any sign of damage

Other: get it! for the price it is worth it

  • WOW! this product is amazing!

    posted by Ribbon96 on 08:07:53 G1T 12/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -Cheap -Functionable! -Userfriendly! -Can handle my Sony A57 with my tamron 18-200mm with 3 lens filters (10xmacro, UV, and polarizer filter!

Cons: No cons here, but the product came with a screw mounted on the top, and it covered the screw that was going to attach my camera to the tripod, but i later found out that the first screw were going to be removed! So i first though this product didnt fit my camera, but it did!

Other: Buy this thing if you need a tripod! its also perfect for shoulder rig..... and you find the shoulder rigs for around 100 dollars online! so this is a product that is worth its price!

  • Great product, highly recommend!

    posted by Miloss1 on 08:52:57 G1T 09/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Very durable item, handles my Nikon D5100 with ease, joints are very sturdy, it has a good overall feeling to it. Similar original item costs around 10 times the price and this one is just the same.

Cons: Joints need some running in, nothing major!

Other: I would recommend this is anyone wanting to waste a big amount of cash on the original item, I know I wanted to! What a waste that would be! For a lot less money I received exactly what I wanted and with the remaining cash I bought more photography equipment! Win win situation. If you're thinking of buying this, buy it!!!

  • Holds the camera, though to position.

posted by Oscaar on 14:51:43 G12T 10/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Cheap! Holds a DSLR with a medium sized lens (don't even try tele lenses...) Everything is attached rather solid. Easy to take with you on a (city/road) trip. Very lightweight.

Cons: It's a bit hard to position your camera the way you want it. I recommend using an extra (ball)head to position your camera. If you place your camera directly on the tripod it's very hard to position it to get the right shot.

Other: Worth the money, little though to use, lightweight.
