Pros: Cheap for a 6" ceramic, Looks really nice (Size, shape, colour, textures, Lovely looking blade). Handle feels quite good, but this will also be listed under the 'cons' below, (its a touch too thick/chunky to be comfortable in my opinion. Good for cutting a crusty loaf... seems pretty bad at most other things. Blade feels thick, heavy and strong, so.. along with the rounded/bellied blade, this knife MIGHT be ok for SOME chopping IF a rolling motion is used.

Cons: Its blunt. Not completely blunt but... well put it this way... I bought 5 knives: 1. A Carbon Steel Kuhn Rikon 4" Parer 2. A Ceramic NoBrand folding 3" peeler 3. A 8cr13mov Steel Seber Tanto ratchet utility/tanto folder 4. A Ceramic King Double 4" parer 5. The 6" chic chefs ceramic in question That is the order they came in, in terms of out-the box-sharpness...this knife being the most blunt out the five. It squashes tomatoes if you try to push cut them. If you slice/saw the skin then a fair bit of pressure is needed before it will slice through the tomato skin. Once its though the skin it slices and cuts really well under its own weight. Maybe I got a bit of a dud? I can also hear a metallic tapping sound if I shake the knife.... sounds like the blade/tang has snapped inside the handle... I don't expect the knife to last very long and I'll have to be careful when using it in case it snaps... that's if I can ever find a use for it.

Other: Its just not worth the money. Looks great, feels ok and its cheap... this is let down by the fact that it arrives blunt (and will be tricky to sharpen) plus it is already falling apart (inside the handle) after 0 minutes usage. My advice for anyone looking for a cheap ceramic 'chefs' knife would be to look elsewhere... Make sure you get a sheath and just hope that the knife you get is sharper than this one. All in all 3/10 Very disappointed.

Pros: Very nice product, perfectly fits in hand, good material at first glance. I have several years of experience with ceramic knifes, with careful use it will last, I hope, for a long time.

    Cons: None.

Other: I like it. My friends as well. More orders will follow.

Pros: Totally impressed by this blade and its shorter cousin sku 28782 Looks slick, cuts quick. My mom tried cutting through a lemon with this one. At first she thought it was a dull blade as it wouldn't go through... that was when she broke through the little bit of stem that had been left attached to the lemon and went clean through the lemon like it was butter. (cliche I know, but that's what it's like) Then she turned and gave me a "wow" look.

Cons: You have to be more careful with this knife than your usual metal knife. Ceramic is very hard and very hard means very brittle The packaging it comes in was destroyed by a thousand rampaging boars. The knife itself and the edge was in perfect condition, but the package was two-dimensional, even in DX's bubble mailer.

    Other: Nothing more

  • Good but not as sharp as I expected

Pros: - Well balanced, lightweight - Well designed, stylish - Really good loking ceramic knife

Cons: Considering a ceramic knife I expected to be sharper than it is....my kitchen steel knives are way sharper than this ceramic one. I already bought a ceramic sharpener to sharpen this beauty. If you are looking for a extremely sharp ceramic knife I wouldn't recommend this one.

Other: - Lightweight - Very well balanced - A very beautiful knife to be at your kitchen, but not as sharp it could be.

Pros: Its very sharp and has a good blade sice. I used mine to do sushi rolls and it was really good for that. The color is nice, and it seems not loose the color.

Cons: It can break easily as its ceramic. However, its normal for a ceramic knife. Just take care while washing and watch out where you keep it. Its very light, so you have to force it against what you want to cut, and Im afraid to break it.

Other: Its cheap and usefull, just buy it.

Pros: Sharpnes of blade is realy excelent, also ergonomic is good (for me :-) ). I use it mainly for vegetables , but i try also cut with it some meat and I don't see any problem.

Cons: Just only you should be really carefull during hendling with knive ceramic knives are sensitive for overstress - this is a problem of all ceramic product's

Other: I really like it. It's great for everything

  • Really great Ceramic Knife

Pros: - This is a really great ceramic knife - It's very sharp, like I expected from a ceramic knife - I like the black look a lot, a lot of friends asked me where i got it - The knife comes in a nice black package, with a lot of chinese/japanese/korean (sorry, no expert here) characters on it, so it's also a nice gift, because you can tell people you got it from asia ;)

Cons: - Until now I haven't recognized any cons

Other: I will definetly buy more of these knives, I'm really happy with the quality!

  • Good all-around kitchen knife

Pros: Beautiful looks and ergonomics, lightweight. Doesn't rust when letting it stand in water to help cleaning it. Comfortable handle with a sure grip.

Cons: Not so sharp (tested by slicing onions, their inner peel was still holding) and impossible to sharpen without specialized equipment. I put a dent on mine in only a few days.

Other: Don't have a chef knife yet and on a tight budget? This one will make your days.

Pros: Excellent knife. Better than others I previously bought. Seems to be better balanced than the others. Nice grip, super sharp. It's even a little heavier and that's a good thing, especially for better cuts.

    Cons: None yet.

Other: Good knife, pretty sharp as it should. Good grip, good balance. Highly recommended.
