  • Very good choice for led lamp

posted by poffsoft on 10:58:38 G8T 07/08/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Small, thin, compact, miniscule, tiny.Good, useable settings. Easy to use and has great price.

Cons: nothing. When my batteries started running low, can see nothing on it. But when the last few percent reached, the selection of modes resetting to the soldered first (but at last, it isn't problem, just a sign to have to change battery)

Other: Good choice at right price to power up your led drived pocket laps.

  • Could't it be cheaper?

Pros: - it is very cheap; - it is very small; - it has 5 modes; I use it to upgrade my flashlight without Circuit Board. The main thing is that you can choose one of 5 modes by making electrical jumper on it.

Cons: cables are not connected, so it is difficult to solder it itself. It has so small contacts but this is advantage and disadvatage at the same time! There is no instruction included how and where to make a jumper to choose modes, because of it you need to go to the internet and find it yourself!

  • Cool driver

Pros: Good price. Excellent schematics. High components and soldering quality. This driver had been installed in my UF2100 flashlight with XML-T6 LED (as a replacement of the original UF2000 driver). I really like it! Better choice for small-size flashlight with XML. It keeps exceptional brightness in High mode, increase runtime and avoids of LED overheating.

Cons: It should be better to write a couple lines in product description - about installation and configuration of this driver. Also the wires too thin for 1A current.

Other: Just buy and install this driver.

Pros: Not high price. Compact design. Not high price. Compact design. Memory of last used mode.

Cons: No instructions for soldering. I do not know, can I disable useless for me SOS and strobe modes? High-frequency noise (maybe it can removed with filling elements by epoxy or other viscous dielectric material)

Other: Good thing - it is possible to repair or reconstruct the old flashlight. Buy it!

  • Great Driver

Pros: So far this is my favorite driver. I used it for the DIY Aurora C6 kit and it worked well! I like the fact that you can choose which modes you want to use, avoiding those annoying strobe/SOS modes. Great driver and easy to use!

Cons: None that I can think of. It would have been nice to include instructions on the stars on the back so that I knew which one effected which modes, but that was easily looked up online and in user comments. Great driver!

Other: Buy it! I am going to buy a few for back-ups.

  • Quality flashlight driver

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - quality excellent - as usual to NANJG - good spaces in modes - memory function - good assets of modes - high PWM frequency (some cheap drivers are terrible in that) - high efficiancy

Cons: - You need some soldering skill to solder such small things :) - will be good, if this driver will be not only 17mm variant, 20mm will be good too - wires a bit thin in my taste, but works Ok - noise at middle and low modes (not a con, but some people hate this thing) - only for one LiIon, will burn with more

Other: One of most popular and one of most good drivers from NANJG

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Made very accurately. Works well. Has the modes I really need (mode sets can be switched by soldering the correspondent stars to the ground conductor).

Cons: No manual or diagram included and therefore it may be hard to find the right pads on the driver board where to solder the wires to. Included wires seems to be too thin. But it's not a problem for an experienced person.

Other: Good driver. I do recommend. And if I need some more drivers for my flashlights I would buy this one again.

Pros: *Cheap *Keeps constant curren to LED *Many modes *Modes can be turned off and keep only simple ones *I love it because I can finally KILL those stupid modes like SOS or strobe and still have Low and Medium ones - It is really annoying when you accidentally switch in total darkness your flashlight into fast strobe mode! *With R5 LED it keeps constant current around 1A until the cell is around 3,4V and then slowly climbs down. *Undervoltage protection - when the cell is around 3V it automatically switches to LOW mode and blinks every few seconds. After some time it shuts down completly - It means you can use batteries without protection circuit and it won't hurt them

Cons: * PWM frequency is quite good but can still be visible * Sometimes you have to click a switch two times to switch mode but it is no big deal *Because i

    Other: Great driver, really recommended.
