  • Works like a charm

Pros: Really good built quality. Exactly what I was looking for. Bought it for my girlfriend. Plugged it and voila, working. But check twice before you buy, it might not be the one you need. Even if you're not sure... It's just $1,29!

Cons: No cons at all... Great product. (until now, working).

Other: Already said it... buy it! It's cheap, well built and does what it has to do! Theres not much more to say about an adapter.

Pros: It's a great adapter that does exacly what it's supposed to do. And for a price that low, unbeatable!!

Cons: The build quality is pretty bad. One fell apart after about a week of usage. It fell apart after about a week of usage but it's easy to fix.

Other: If you need one, buy one! Pro-tip: Open it up and glue it togeather or do like me, wait until it falls apart to fix it.

  • Might as well get one if you have an HTC phone

Pros: For use with HTC phones.
    No sound quality loss.

    Cons: Crappy build quality.
If you sit on it wrong or it gets bent at wrong angle it might get broken.
Can not use mic even if your headphones have one built in.
When your phone rings the sound plays through your phone speakers and your headphones at the same time.
Yeah it is pretty easy to break.

Other: I would get 3 just in case it breaks.
Gone through 5 of these in 5 months.

  • Cheap and work properly

    posted by andykamezou2 on 07:29:46 G7T 16/07/2010 certificated customer

Pros: Can be use with original HTC YC A300..
    Cheap
Can use FM radio on my HTC Diamond
    Work as it should

Cons: I bought this as the replacement adapter. My previous adapter which I bought from a local shop has the same shape, but shorter, and I can see the inner wire on the extUSB part because of frequent bend at that part. I'll upload a picture as I believe this SKU also will have the same problem.
The extUSB built is not so good, almost same as my previous adapter. Need to take a good care and properly remove it from your handphone as it easily break.
My first use of this SKU on my HTC Diamond, it has a problem. I need to wiggle the wire on the extUSB part. But, while trying to remove it from my Diamond, the extUSB broke like what I've previously said, but it's easy to fix it. After that, somehow I don't have to wiggle the wire anymore.

Other: Need a proper care as the build is not so good especially on the extUSB part.
But it's cheap. You get what you paid for.

  • Great cheap cable

Pros: Excellent and cheap cable for any HTC phone with a mini-USB connection. With this you can throw away the default audio cable that comes with the phone, which sounds pretty bad, and connect any good speakers that you have.

Cons: The cable came with 2 pins bend and touching together so i had to bend them so they didn't make contact, otherwise the cable didn't work. That's why i only rate with a 3 on the "easy-of-use rating".

Other: Excellent and cheap cable for any HTC phone with a mini-USB connection.

  • Works great...build quality so-so

Pros: Very useful device that allows you to use your own high fidelity earphones with your HTC devices
Used mine with a Google G1 phone it worked great.
Very intuitive, plug in both ends and youre rocking...
Good price for this little gadget

Cons: Looked to be well made but after just a few uses, the usb end of the plug starting coming apart
I had to glue to to sides of the usb connector to keep it from coming apart...works great now

Other: If you need one, get it...build issues or not, it works as it should, it's cheap, and it does the job. Just be gentle with it

  • Almost perfect

Pros: Used this on my HTC TYTN2 and it works right out of the box no problems. Sound quality of my music is at least 10 times better compared to using the stock HTC headphones. You'll need a decent pair of headphones to hear the difference.

Cons: Nothing too much except it came without packaging in my order and was flinging around inside the package. No damage though, and no bent pins everyone seems to be having problems with.....????

Other: Pretty nice plug and worth the price. I don't know why HTC does not have 3.5MM already built in since a lot of other phones have it already.

  • Useful and cheap

posted by CrashCore on 00:25:36 G4T 02/04/2010 certificated customer

Pros: -Really useful to be able to use whatever cheap (or expensive and high fidelity) headphones you already have rather than buying proprietary ones.
    -Awesome price!
-Cord is flexible, and everything seems to be relatively solid.

Cons: -Biggest (and only) con was that it didn't work when I first got it! Two pins (Mic+ and Switch) were bent down and touching the outside grounding shield. It was easy to disassemble and reassemble though, so it wasn't too much trouble.

Other: Excellent, excellent price. Would be a perfect product if it didn't have to fix it before use. Seems to be of pretty decent quality also. Most people seem to get them in working condition, so I would strongly recommend it.

  • Complete your order with this if you have an HTC

Pros: Fits all HTC mini-USB devices (HTC uses a special mini-USB with an extra pin for the audio). I use it on my HTC Diamond.
You can use it as antenna, without earphones, to listen radio stations with the build-in speaker.
    Cheap, little and well build.

Cons: It is easy to loose it. I don't see another con...

Other: A must have if you own an HTC device. Add it in your next order.

  • Works, but 2 just to be safe.

posted by TehLerb on 00:30:58 G12T 29/12/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It works with my HTC Magic.
Connections seem clean (no broken audio)
No cross-pin connections like some others I've bought

Cons: Build quality is poor, e.g.
Exposed solder coming through plastic on side of 3.5mm plug
    Liable to break.
As with most of these, detected as headset, so must remove to make phonecalls or you won't be able to use microphone.

Other: If you need to get audio out of your HTC phone, it's the cheapest way to get it. It's a good backup for a Bluetooth receiver, in case you run low on batteries.
