Pros: Looks nice, fits both PATA and SATA 3.5" HDDs. Has a indicator light and functions as expected.

Cons: Connectors for PATA drive need to be removed when using a SATA drive, could easily loose the connectors if not looked after. Very tight fit with most hard drives making it difficult to insert and remove drives. I had extreme difficulty opening the case the first time as the plastic strips locking the case together are too tight.

Other: If you have older PATA drives this is a good case, however for most people a SATA case with USB3.0 would be a better buy.

Pros: IDE and SATA Connectors in order to connect the disk one at time Nice aluminium case Box contain all you will need to install IDE or SATA drive

Cons: Low Quality adapter plug and materials It is difficult to disassemble. Plastic is low quality The space inside the case is small, so, fit all the cables inside can be hard with a IDE harddrive.

Other: Good product quality/price You can conect SATA and IDE disk one at time

Pros: - Came with its own power supply. - Good Aluminum Case. - Works with SKU57591. - Support SATA or IDE disks, good for retrocompatibility. - Came with all cables, screws and a screwdriver. You just need the wall socket and the Harddrive. - The cables of powersupply are long enough. - The powersupply comes with a led to indicate function - The case have a switch to turn it of without remove the plug from wall socket

Cons: - The space inside the case is small, so, fit all the cables inside can be hard with a IDE harddrive. - Don't come with materials needed to wall-mount.

Other: - Good quality for the price. - Must-have product to retrocompatibility with old IDE hard-drives.

  • Good product but with some bits missing

    Pros: - Looks nice.
    - Build quality is good for it's price range, although the adapter feels very cheap and does not come with a European plug.

Cons: - No screws are included, you should slide the black plates of to mount the hard drive with four screws and then put the back on and also screwing that to the chassis. So get your own screws :)
    - Speed is not very high 26.2 on a Western Digital 5400RPM IDE drive.

Other: Great product which can be used by IDE and SATA drive, but don't forget to bring your own screws.

Pros: It works, it do what you expect it to do. It looks really nice too.
It's easy to connect the harddrive and get everything set up.

Cons: When you open it up, it's basically just empty and you get a feeling like the product is of bad quality.
It could be some rubber or something for the harddrive to "stand on". I would like the harddrive to be more stable when you put it inside.
There's no holes for air to go in and out. If you use the harddrive a lot it will get very warm.
It only comes with US-plug. I live in EU so I did need to get another cable!

Other: It's a OK price and I'm happy I bought it. It do what you expect it to do.

Pros: the pros are that it works good. The hard drive fits. The material that this item is made looks very good and professional. There is an on/off button and it doesn't look cheap at all. As soon as I plugged this item into my computer it worked right away and the computer detected the item without any issues.

Cons: The hard drive fits a bit too well... it slides inside the case from front to back... it feels like something is missing to help support the hard drive once it's inside the case. Almost a perfect item if it wasn't for this minor defect... The price is ok but could have been better. I've seen cases that fit better for cheaper.

Other: decent buy for something that looks professional and good. Once again the dimensions are a bit off but worth the purchase.

Pros: A solution to reuse the good old disk for
    - Backups
    - Migrations
    - ...
It is very easy to connect the disk
I've tested varios SATA disk without any problems
The speed is on the average of USB 2.0 external disk (30 MB/s)

Cons: It is not a fashion or pretty device.
The power connector for the UK; but you can use a computer or monitor cable.

Other: It's worth the money to keep a backup disk; if you plan to change the disk very often thing with USB Docks than handle 3.5 and 2.5. disks.

Pros: I bought this to house an external drive, but ended up using the cables from the housing to repair other computers, and do data backups before repairs. The cables in this are very handy, and you get both an IDE connection, and a SATA connection, so you can work with either type of drive. Speeds are decent too. :)

Cons: Housing itself comes apart pretty easily, so I lost the strips from either side of the main housing, as well as the screws, but hey, it still did its job quite well :)

Other: Good product for an OK price. Could've been better, but then again, could've been a LOT worse.

Pros: The product is simple enough so you don't have problems to assemble it. And it is strong and good looking after you put it all together with your Hard Drive on it. It is perfect for me because it supports IDE/PATA or SATA Hard drives. After you connect to the computer, the speed is good and I had no problems to make it work with my Windows 7 or my Linux Desktop.

Cons: I think the power cable could be smaller. And the USB cable larger. Other than that I don't see nothing wrong with it.

Other: One of the best purchases I made here in Deal Extream. Very good quality product.
