Pros: It is a good antenna, well built, now I can use it to use my neighbor wi-fi, with his permission of course!

Cons: The cable is not detachable, you can only icrease the size of the cable by buying an extension wich means you will loose quality.

Other: It is an excelent antenna, will buy again if I need too. Maybe other option with more gain. Point the antenna in the direction of the router for optimal results.

Pros: Solved my problem with weak WiFi signal from the internet provider. Really directional, the hotspot that was barely detectable on the built-in antenna in my notebook (and not able to connect) was completely clear and reliable with this antenna. The directionality is several angular degrees.

Cons: The holder is not much universal, I had to make a DYI version.

Other: Don't forget about connection, mostly you will need a router.

  • very nice antenna for extending wifi signal

Pros: - very cheap in comparison to other yagi/parabolic antennas I've seen or used - lightweight - relatively low profile - comes with mounting ring for pole - has a relatively long signal cable (about 1metre;I haven't actually measured it, it's approx.)

Cons: - sends nearly all signal forward and aft of the antenna (not really a con if you understand the reason why you'd want an antenna like this) - not sure not long this will last in outdoor environment (again not really a con since I'm just speculating)

Other: way worth it if you are experiencing poor to no wifi performance in a limited direction ... this antenna works very well

Pros: Excellent quality, good cable and material. Buy it if you really need a directional antenna for your wifi conexion.

Cons: Well, in my case, I purchase an internet conexion pack after I bought the antenna and I didn't have the chance to use it at all.

Other: Make sure that this item is what you really need, if you really need it purchase it and enjoy good quality signal.

  • Able to reach that hotspot without dropping

Pros: It has a very nice build quality. I have it on a dish tripod, and it looks great. There is a place where I get my wifi from, and I am not easily able to reach it. It is about 600 feet away. When I did a site survey, I use to only get about 4 or 5 ssids, I now get well over 150 ssids.

Cons: The screws will rust on you! This can easily be prevented by once every two moths spraying it down with WD-40. I have had mind for about 3 months now, and the screws still look in great shape. Oil will also work of course. The mount is not as big as I thought it was. The max pole it will probably fit would be a 2.5 inch diameter. It is slightly smaller than I thought it was going to be, but that is good and bad.

Other: I needed a strong Yagi antenna to reach that hotspot, and this did it easily.

Pros: It seems to be a good quality item. It's very easy to install. I just had to plug it to the router and point to another one. This antenna did the job for me. Now I can get signal from a house to another and redistribute it via AP Bridge. Good for those who want to share internet.

Cons: Signal could be a little stronger, but it's ok. I got about 30% better signal with a regular D-Link DIR-524 router. Cable is too short. An extension is needed if you are intent to intall it on the roof.

    Other: I'm fully satisfied.

Pros: 1.aluminum body will not rust

Cons: 1.Antenna SKU: 37185 gives the same gain at a distance of 500 m 2.RP-SMA connector is not new, gold cover is erased 3.Two screws have a little rusty.

Other: I do not understand how people make such good reviews.Spent money for nothing

Pros: This unit offers a hefty 6-10dB gain over an Omnidirectional antenna & 3-5 db gain over a cantenna. The most notable result for me was the difference between the connection speed of the cantenna vs. this wifi Yagi. The cantenna, although somewhat directional, still has a more dispersed transceive pattern.
Particularly, if you have a hi-power wifi unit, you will notice a great increase in the true connection speed over a cantenna or ANY omnidirectional antenna.
The true value of this antenna is its ability to increase true & consistent connection speeds, particularly in noisy environments like densely packed apartment complexes with lots of WiFi connections.
Buy this antenna for its cost/quality ratio, quality construction, ability to discriminate between networks (selectivity), and marked increase in connection speed.

    Cons: None.

Other: Buy this, download NetStumbler or inSSIDer free, and check it out for yourself. I would suggest getting a high power wifi adapter as well (1000-2000 mW) to increase your range.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Boost level is quite good. It reaches +11 dBi comparing to my 3 dBi omni antenna. Easy to use. Relatively long cable.

Cons: There might be cheaper variants of this exact antenna on the internet. Build quality is not very good, but this does not drop signal strength much. Mounting point is not very convenient.

Other: Good antenna compared to it's price.
