Compatible with Mac OS X after some hacking with IOBluetoothFamily.kext. Changed to it from incompatible Intel Wi-Fi in Lenovo Y580 laptop to make it Hackintosh MacBook.
I've bought this item to change with native Intel one in Lenovo Y580 laptop to make it fully functional with Wi-Fi usage available. That's because it has AR9285 Atheros chip, which is compatible with Mac OS X after some kext editing. It hasn't Bluetooth radio, but the laptop has one soldered on it's motherboard. So the laptop remaining fully operational in Mac OS X and Windows too, as well as in Linux.
    Very useful for hackintosh laptop.

It's Small, so it fits small computer Cases. It has 2 removable antennas with RP-SMA plug (Dlink routers style), so it can be fitted with larger antennae if you desire.Supports WinxXP 32/64bit and Win7 64bit. The Driver CD is not needed if you are using Windows XP or Win 7.
I took the advice of another buyer and it really has a better reception signal when you use one antenna in straight position, and the other slightly angled.
Good product for the price offered.

As I have my doubt, this is indeed an Intel 6235AN 300M Dual-Band Bluetooth V4.0 and it works flawlessly on my ubuntu box, both in 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It's not top of the line, but at the end of the day, it suits my need. Installation is very easy. Tested on Lenovo Ideapad Y510p, with Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Microsoft Windows 8
packaging is ok, no howtos or documentations, but that's expected since it's not supposed to be installed by end users.
if you need an ethernet Mini PCIe that has complete support for your linux box, this is a great choice
