  • Awsome tool

    Excellent build quality. Beautiful!

Comes with a BT3 cd and a cracking-wep-for-dummies instructions manual.
Really fast injection (500000 IV's in 15 min).
Windows 7 ult x64 installed driver automatically.
Works very well with N networks.
My intel 3945 built in card detected 7 networks, while the dongle detected 15.
I wish it was 1000mW instead of 500mW, but still, this is the only high power dongle with wireless N i could find.
    Buy it! = )
  • 12dBi -- a great deal

Mine just arrived, and I'm pleasantly surprised. The 15-18dBi rating is likely overstated by the manufacturer, but I got results in the 12dBi range.
I used Netstumbler software and tested this one against a 12dBi Waveguide antenna (cantenna) and a similar 15dBi Yagi antenna. I pointed each antenna toward a "hotspot" about 1Km from my house with good elevation on my side but without clear line-of-site. There are a few small trees, power lines and maybe a billboard blocking line-of-site, but no buildings or other major obstructions.
You can see the Netstumbler results here: http://www.easyclassreunions.com/12dbi_yagi.gif
As you'll see, the DX Yagi performs about the same as the 12dBi cantenna (WiFi-Link brand) but less powerful than a similar 15dBi Yagi (WiFi-Link brand).
My tests were done by holding/pointing each antenna for about a minute each, so if you open the image above, you'll see some slight drops in the signal when I moved my hand slightly. There are also two blank spaces when was changing antennas.
Signal strength? At 12dBi I get 2 bars (out of 5) on my WiFi card. It jumps to 3 bars occasionaly. Signal strenth is "low" but always stable. With the 15dBi Yagi, I get 3 bars and always have a "good," stable connection.
This one is 30cm shorter than my 15dBi Yagi (tested and rated by WiFi-Link).
The antenna comes with a U-Bracket and nuts/bolts for mounting on 1-2 inch pole.

  • Good tool but 3G is not link to GSM

compact, cheap, easy to use, to recharge, nice tool for those who can't share their hotel RJ45 connectivity via wifi for iPad iphone etc for example.
I wound't have baught it without 3G pseudo feature.
one piece spare if somebody wants it. I have no use of this device anymore.
  • Great for the price!

This is a fantastic piece of kit! It’s about 80 centimetres long but otherwise it's unobtrusive and easy to mount. Improved my access points signal for both transmit and receive, the signal quality of a second access point 100 metres away that’s connected using WDS (wireless distribution system) went from 18 to around 34 SNR, which is very impressive considering that’s through several brick walls!
    Fantastic, especially at this price!
