I had a problem with the signal wirelles and needed to capture via USB on my desktop. I bought 3 different USB wireles at different times. Now with 3 in hand, i did the comparison and the EDUP had the best quality. I managed to capture with the EDUP 100% signal. With Encore 150N plus 2db antenna, I managed to capture 86% of the signal and the SITECOM 54g I managed to capture 70% of the signal. The back clip is very interesting and clean. Very useful to attach the usb wirelles on monitor or in places with fewer barriers.
  • Has trouble under OS X 10.5 on PPC, but good.

Very small footprint.Works under Windows Vista and Debian GNU/Linux (per my own testing).External RP-SMA connector makes use of higher-gain antennas very easy (which is why I bought it in the first place).USB 1.1 and 2.0 makes it near-universally compatible. I ran it on a ten-year-old laptop with a single USB 1.1 port and Debian GNU/Linux and it was on my network with no problem.
Price could probably come down slightly. These wireless N adapters are a dime a dozen lately. I am interested in getting a higher-power adapter for use with my cantenna, but this adapter seems to work well on its own, and since it's near-universally compatible, it's a great backup adapter to keep around.Windows Vista automatically found, downloaded and installed a driver for it with no problem, but keep in mind that it will need an existing internet connection to do it.
Good if you need a backup adapter or are looking for a simple way to get a USB-enabled computer on WiFi.OK for external antennas, but you will want to mind the flimsy USB connector. Not quite so good if you want the full 300mbps treatment from your wireless N access point. But as a spare, backup WiFi adapter, it's worth keeping around.
  • Good value for price

The product had no problems so far. The installation was very straightforward (on windows XP) and simple. The case seems OK and I have no complaints so far.
It isn't the cheapest modem available on DX. I prefered getting a product I knew would work (due to the reviews), but I guess it's still much cheaper than if I had bought it here in Brazil.
Definitely worth the buy. I used it to connect an old PC in my lab that had no internet cable close to it. Worked perfectly and presented no issues during installation.
