wifi network camera Customers Reviews

  • Nice camera, nasty software

Very nice cheap camera with relatively good night vision quality. In daylight the colors don't look that good, but for surveillance it is more than enough. Can also be used together with Synology NAS equipment.
The lens has a relatively narrow overview. For surveillance purposes a wider angle would have been better.
Cheap camera, and once installed, good for surveillance work.
  • A good outdoor camera

IR cut works well.Pretty simple to setup.WiFi is good and sensitive, sees lots of APs. Takes standard 1/4" camera mount.US style plug.
I used this to replace a genuine Foscam of about 3 years old that had been damaged by a power surge that killed the WiFi board. While this camera is made to a lower price point it is decent enough and the performance matches or exceeds that of the Foscam in all areas.
If you are looking for a budget outdoor wireless IP cam with a US power adapter that has IR-cut and 300KP suits your needs. Then this appears to be a good buy.
  • Overall a good buy

The unit seems well built, the casing is sturdy and the cabling is chunky!Setting up the internet side was not difficult. You need to use a cable connection to your router initially and then you can set up the wifi side of things. All pretty straight forward.
I'm quite happy with it but would like to set the email facility working properly. Wish they would get the English right - so annoying!
Yes, go and buy one. You'll be happy with it.
  • Great if you get one that works

Great price for a IP camera if you get one that works. Extremely easy to use. Comes with DDNS account so you can access the camera from teh web using a single address. Camera is quite sharp.
Even with all the problems, the camera ended up being a fairly good deal and good camera. As long as you fix all the problems. I got a new adapter, which DX sells here, I also cleaned the lens and rotated the camera to be level (which is easy, the front unscrews, though this voids your warranty). And finalyl, I replaced teh antenna with one obtained from DX sku 39041 and it's now amazing!
pretty low quality assuance on this item, good thing it's easy to service and adjust. Haven't been able to find an outdoor camera for this price anywhere else. Also, yes it is outdoor. there was a rubber gasket where I unscrewed the front.
  • Easy to install and use

Good image quality.Easy to install (took less than 5 minutes). No motor noise when turning.Android app included.Free DDNS.A good device overall. I'd recommend this to everyone.
Connect wireless antenna, LAN cable to your router and to camera and finally power chord. Make sure your router has DHCP enabled. Use your computer's browser to access the device. Given IP for the camera will probably be 192.168.0.2 or 3 (try increasing the last digit one by one if 2 or 3 does not work) when you type correct ip to address bar, you'll get a login page. Enter username and password as it is on the camera. Go to network and change the ip you see there with a higher number. For example if it's 192.168.0.3, change it to 192.168.0.100 and also change the port from 80 to another port (Ex. 1234) save and device will restart. After restart connect to camera using ip and port you've given. As for our example it's 192.168.0.100:1234 when you're in, enable DDNS by checking the checkbox in "manufacturer's ddns" link and save. The last step is on your router. Log in to your router and find forwarding. create a new record and enter your camera's ip and port.
For our example, IP is 192.168.0.100 and port is 1234. Save it and you're ready to go. You can use the DDNS address on any computer that has internet connection to access your camera.I know I don't cover all the questions but that's not what I meant to do. I think this will help you start using the camera.
