  • Perfect EDC light

    posted by jmdavis984

The light is bright for a $10 flashlight. The color of the light is very good, not too yellow or too blue. The body is well made and very durable. The size is great for EDC, fits in a pocket very easilyThree modes for a flashlight of this price is awesome.
I wish it came with a pocket clip rather than the lanyard, but my use case doesn't use either, so it's not a big deal. If you have very large fingers, you will find it VERY difficult to operate this light.
I would recommend this flashlight to anyone looking for a good pocket light for small $. The strobe is a great feature for home defense or just play. I will probably put one of these lights in every order I make with DX until I have a decent stash of them. Using the a single AAA cell limits battery life but that's where the low mode comes in handy.
  • Nice smooth sturdy design

Looks and feels very sturdy. Tailcap will glow in dark. Reflector will give quite big and smooth glow that works well with bicycle. So it is not just small point of light.
Battery compartment has two o-rings for sealing, front class has also o-ring for sealing. I think that the tailcap that seals switch button might be weakest point regarding water resisting.
This is quite cheap, bright and sturdy light, so I think it is good deal.
  • Bright flood and solid build

    posted by JJski

Solidly built, really very bright, looks great. I like the fact it only has one mode of operation - on and off.
The light spread is quite wide - more of a flood of light than a spot, although you can tell the centre spot is brighter than the surrounding light spread.
I'm using sku.20392 batteries with the torch and they fit perfectly.
    Would definitely buy another.
  • My favorite flashlight

At least as bright, if not brighter than any CR123A flashlight I have ever owned... This tiny little flashlight does it all from huge flood lighting to a TIGHT little beam that throws light at distances that are quite amazing for a light this compact! Should you ever run out of 14500 lithium 3.6-3.7v cells, it WILL produce decent light (nowhere near as much but still quite usable..) from normal 1.2-1.5v AA cells.
I like it a LOT better than the other 14500/18650 zooming lights I bought here (which had shark in the name...) anyway, this one is much better; it has a wider zoom range so it can spread light better up close and zoom in on objects farther away and if you think this one's zoom mechanism is sloppy wait until you try the other guy's... also, I have a much more powerful 18650 flashlight I bought from here (raysoon rs-v8) and this smaller Q3 puts it to shame particularly when it comes to throwing light over long distance.
This is an incredible value. I ordered more... I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend it. Given the size of the light and it's limited power supply, it isn't ideal for extended use; it's more suited to spot something quick than to light your way through a long hike... However it will serve great purpose as a short-term ''high beam'' that serves both for close range, wide area illumination and throwing light precisely over long distances. I must be getting about 30-35 minutes out of 14500 lithiums, using the light a few minute at a time here and there.
  • Works fine no far

    * Really cheap;* Actually works;* Fairly easy to install/remove;* I had to use the adapter that comes with the cap, but did not notice any vignetting;
I used it on a Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX, with a mounted UV filter. The plastic adapter that comes with the cap was required and it does not "feel" as a perfect fit. But at the end of the day, it works.
Despite the (lesser) cons, I'm satisfied with this cap.
