    All I needed for a good product, here it's, despite not showing on product specifications, it measures alternating current (400µA until 20A), and all other commented to, temperature had not seen, i only noticed when it arrived, Delivery time counting from the payment until the day that i received was, 27 days, didn't take long to receive, I accessed the informations of Hong Kong post, by the processes that my object has been passed to arrive, and the most amazing thing I have to report, is the comparison of prices for the same product here in Brazil, the cheapest I found here before making buying on Deal Extreme was R$ 254.90 (U.S.$ 130.97), 405% more Oo on Deal Extreme I've paid R$ 50.40 (U.S.$ 25.85), amazing.
    That's my first purchase and will not be the last, as soon as i bought the VC97, i've bought another objects immediately, and the only bad is that, over U.S.$ 50, i've to pay giants taxes here in Brazil, the next product that i pretend to purchase is the MK809 II for U.S. $ 48.99 +/- R$ 95,00.
    That's All i've to say.Thanks for opportunity Deal Extreme.
  • Good and cheap entry level multimeter

    Bought two of these. Both work out-of-box, batteries are alive. Multimeter is similar to Xiole DT9205A (sku.619) but seems to have different and maybe slightly better test leads (sold separately as sku.6518) 73cm length. Size not small but is ok for my hands, it is more compact than Fluke 87. Results are not always accurate. Measured AAA battery voltage,Fluke 87 shows 1.400V, dt9205a measured 1.396V with 0..2V range selected, which is very close to Fluke, but only 1.38V with 0..20V range, which is worse but not a cons for such price.- it's cheap;- large possibility and wide range;- build quality is decent. i've disassembled mine, soldering quality is also good, only removed excessive flux around chips;- auto power off works (but not with all measuring limits, flashing "-" sign and changing "0"/"-0" resets off timer);
    Cheap entry level multimeter. I can recommend it for home use. Really worth its price.

    Cheap (as in price, not quality)
    Quite well built for a 10 dollar product
    Fused. I did something really stupid and connected the leads so that they shorted. Blew an UPS used for testing but the multimeter is still alive and kicking. QC passed ;-)
    Need a cheap multimeter for all around household usage? Can live without a clamp? Buy it. This is not true RMS but I most people do not need this functionality.

    -Auto ranging feature
    -Comes with capacitance and frequency
    -Neat and portable
    Its an awesome multimeter! Its not one of those low quality ones you find for a few bucks. Perfect for hobbyists that mess around with LEDs and the like.
    Great quality multimeter that meets your needs. (Except for the small range for current maybe)

    Small and compact, O.K. for everyday use (pocket size). Cheap. Accurate. I have two multimeters: this one and large and heavy PRO. But I use this unit more often, because of its compact size. It works fine for me more than one year just now.
    In whole it's fine, but QC may be better. The current measures have small amount (max 200mA) — short circuit current of one good Ni-Mh AA battery is up to 8A (so, You'll be unable to measure it).
    I'm quite satisfied with it. If You have some soldering skills for possible repairs — this is Yours choice! :)
