Cheaper than at any retailerFunctions just as goodMakes any harddisk externalDoes the same for any DVD/CD/BR drive.Supports S-ata as well as good old IDE for 2.5" and 3.5" harddisks
None. Device does what it has to do.
Good buy for the money. Too bad the S-ata power cables arent attached.
  • This tiny gadget is very useful!

It does what it claims. It is easy to use. You can use it on most sizes and types of internal hard drives. Even if your computer dies, you can still recover the data from the hard drive. Everything you need to use it is included in the package. Very handy to have if you like to DIY. I have successfully recovered data from a dead computer by pulling out the hard drive and connecting it to a netbook with this converter. It works, it works, it works!!!
I would still buy this again if I needed to recover data.
It is still worth they money if you can recover data from your hard drive. It would cost a lot more if you took your computer in for service at a store. Buy this if you want to recover your data from a hard drive.

  • A little lifesaver

I't easily assembled. All the pieces go in the logical places, you stick one end in the wall socket, one end in the USB-port and all the stuff in the middle in your harddisk and you're good to go. A driver CD (Win98!) is supplied, but most computer work without it anyway.
And it supports one touch backup!
After removing a drive from my PC, I found out it contained important data. This piece of gear is a lifesaver...
A perfectly affordable temporary solution.Very handy to have one on the shelf.
  • Bottom line: it does the job

Both SATA and IDE is like save me tons of trouble. Easier to connect than a IDE enclosure. It won't power up anything if you put the IDE connector in wrong order. This is a plus.
The power adapter can definitely be smaller. I am not putting it in the cons but still.. it is huge!
It does the job just fine. Great option if you have a HD in a dock and wanna get or put something in IDE and don't like to open the PC case.
