  • Fast path to data

    - eSata is as fast as an internal HD- USB so you can use in any computer- easy to swap HDs- Good design- Cheap
Oddly enough, came in another's model box. But the device itself was the right thing.
Could use it perfectly on my laptop, but couldn't get it to work in my desktop computer, but maybe it's not the device's fault.

The case is made of top quality plastic. The PSU cable is long enough and don't gets to hot in use. The cable provided is USB 3 and well maded one. Installed an 1 TB disk WD green. When transfered content to the external one, I got a transfer rate about 33 Mb/s, considering that my port is an USB2, I am very pleased. This unit can handle with two disks at once.
European buyers should order a plug adapter SKU 3529 in order to use it in homeland. It comes with an CD with some backup software, at least two apps to do the same and a bunch of drivers to install, never used it. It is just plag and play,
It's really a good buy. Overall great quality for the money
  • works great

No problems at all. works just as advertised. No weird drivers needed even though a CD is included with cloning utilities which could be useful to some. everything works and all the necessary adapters are included. It feels pretty sturdy including the cables and the LED activity indicator isn't blindingly bright but is easily visible.
-data transfer rate is good.-build quality is great-power cable is a bit snug but still works fine-led is not too bright
buy it. It can be used to read stuff of the new xbox hard drives. (no you can't use it to mod xbox dvd drives though).
  • USB 3.0 is worth it, especially for those large volumes

    posted by multia

If you have to copy many gigabytes to a harddisk, you will surely appreciate that USB 3.0 can do that >10x faster than USB 2.0. Copying 50GB of data over the old USB2.0 is just not doable anymore. Thanks to this I use those old 300-500GB harddisks as if they were external usb drives and it's just as easy, just plug them in and that's it.
    I love this thing
I can go home an hour earlier thanks to this, because I don't have to wait for my movies to finnish copying.
  • Good results so far

I have only used it to connect to one hard drive to my PC and it seemed to work very well. I used a Western Digital 2GB 3.5" SATA II Drive (WD20EARS).*easy to use, plug and play*fairly small form factor*decent build quality*Good speeds (70MB/s consistent write on USB 3 on my Asus P6T and Asus USB 3 PCI-E controller [transferring from my internal drive. only test performed yet])
Both SATA connections on the device do work, though I haven't used two drives at the same time though it yet (will use forum feature below if I do and share results).I threw the software out straight away and haven't used the OTB or anything.
I am very please with this. Good buy. Would recommend (in fact I did and my friend is also pleased)
