you may be interestd by the Cubian aka debian on cubiboard.
Do not expect to make a computer desktop without a few tweaking
  • Arduino Mega for a Mini price

This is the arduino Mega2560 runs at Rev.3 on my PC. It comes with a 40/50 cm long USB cable and works straight from the box (after setting the right device and port in the device manager.I am planning to use it with a riser board. The connectors feel very solid. Has 54 ports compared to my very few on the nano32.
Arduinos are easy to program I got it with a whole set of sensors and breadboard to improve my easy programming skills and planning to make a weather station out of it.
Arduino bang for the bucks. Full with the large 256kb storage chip.
  • Good development board

Bought it to use with the CY3684_EX-USB_FX2LA_DVK software development kit from Cypress Semiconductor. Pulled the EEPROM jumper, installed the driver per Cypress App Note AN65209, and it worked fine. I'm still using it to learn EZ-USB software.
With the EEPROM jumper installed, it can apparently be used as a clone of a logic analyzer -- but I didn't buy it for that and haven't tried it. With the jumper installed, VID=0925 and PID=3881. With the jumper removed, VID=04B4 and PID=8613 (the CY7C68013A's built-in values). This board also appears at http://sigrok.org/wiki/Lcsoft_Mini_Board
A good, inexpensive, subsitute for a more expensive (and more capable) development board when learning EZ-USB. Could also be used as an inexpensive microcontroller board in a USB-based project.
  • Great product, even better price!

Board quality is excellent! All little accessory peripheral boards fit nicely around it giving access to all desired functions. The yellow headers around the STM32F107CV chip are very helpful to interface any kind external device. I plan to make a motion controller with it and the nice graphical interface was something that was missing from my previous attempts with other 8-bit micro-controllers. The CD that comes with this product has lots of programming examples, tools and datasheets, all in English!! I was impressed!
Finally great technology in affordable price! And its amazing how many different options there are now for C compilers about Cortex Thumb2 devices!
It worth the money! Get it now! Its a great education or development board in the most affordable price!
  • Very nice Arduino-copy board!

Very nice board to start with Arduino or to continue with it. Looks and works just like the real Arduino UNO R3 but at a much better price. The build quality is very good too. It's a genuine Atmel Atmega328P on it so 100% compatible with the Arduino software and addons. I absolutely love it! :D
Since the orginal Arduino board in open source, this board is not really a copy. Everybody has the right to make there own Arduino compatible developement board.
There are tons of nice stuff on DX that you can buy to combine with your developement board. I recommend you to start with at least this board and a LCD shield or something like the Nokia display to have something to play with wehn you get it. Then you can go with sensors and step motors to have a more complete Arduino kit.
