  • Perfect 3.0 card adapter

    posted by Roaze2000

I got the AKE 54mm Express Card to 2-Port USB 3.0 Card Adapter last week, installed the driver, plugged it in (win7) my Dell E6400 and it worked. Two 3.0 ports.
Nothing for the price it is perfect. Got it in three weeks, packaging was undamaged.
Get the AKE 54mm Express Card to 2-Port USB 3.0 Card Adapter if you need this sort of expansion
  • Express Card Adapter for Laptop

    posted by r1c4rd0100

    - Works fine - Doesn't protrude from side of laptop - Installation very easy, just put the Express Card into the laptop to run the cd drives and was soon working
As long as you've got the recent WHQL drivers, this should work fine on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. I get a 90MB/s read speed from my Samsung S2 USB3.0 HD. I couldn't find any Mac or Linux drivers yet. The chip is a Fresco Logic FL1000 FWIW.
If you're running Windows and need a USB3.0 card, this one will work well.
  • Good, but Not Real Gigabit

    posted by AlicanC

Compact, easily carriableNicely built, feels sturdy, holds RJ-45 tightGood support on website, in English and with latest drivers
On my ASUS N56VZ, on board Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 gave 940Mbps on PassMark PerformaceTest 8.0's Advanced Network Test, UNITEK Y-3461 only gave 360MbpsThe website is good. No messing with foreign languages and had drivers even for Windows 8.1 (which is only 21 days old at the time of the review).Worked good on my home network, but went crazy on the company network. (I configured and wired both networks and both are gigabit.) I kept hearing Windows' USB plug in and plug out sounds when I plugged it in. I'm not sure if this should be a con because the problem only happened at work. My on board card works perfectly there but maybe my computer was just acting weird.
A good device. If your on board NIC is broken or you want a second NIC for geekiness, you can buy this. It does not provide the full gigabit speed, but still better than 100 megabit. The price isn't that bad either.
  • Finally working

Cheap. Faster than USB 2.0 but I did not made serious tests.
Generally good solution. Especially after implementing its drivers in windows update service.
It is not so easy to plug USB cable/flash because stronger push activate Express card click and whole adapter bacame unattached form laptop. It is better to plug USB device into this card and then to insert it into laptop...
  • Works Fast and perfectly well!

    posted by RenanAz

Very light, fast and has no bezel! When you put it in the Express slot it blends in with the notebook and is almost invisible! Speed tested + 120MB/s read and +80MB/s right speeds!
Good solution if you have a notebook that supports 3.0 but does not have the USB slot.Driver not always recognized but very easy to download! It uses the RENESAS controller! Just search on Google and voilá!
Good product. Speed is great! Beeing discrete, with no outer bezel is another good point. Remember to hold the card when pulling your USB cable, otherwise it will most likely come out.
