  • Perfect for MTB

    posted by elduri

The zoom adjust the pointing area from an small cube in the wall to a big circle. The light area is homogeneus and give a blue, almost purple light. Seems pretty strong built, even the dimmer/zoom and its not a big light. I like a lot the modes, full, medium, low and off. And extra strobe mode if you press like two seconds. Perfect!!
I have this other sku http://www.dx.com/p/ha-iii-cree-ssc-p7-c-sxo-3-mode-900-lumen-led-headlamp-set-4-18650-included-29489 and in theory is the same lux, but this zooming light is more brilliant and powerful, the led is smaller and i think wont be so hot like the other.
Cheap and valuable item. Quite good for cycling (its what i want for). Im waiting for other two more sku, 170891 and 170146, i will see which one its better.
  • Great buy & solid performer

    posted by NateB

Uses the T6great white colour & slightly towards the purple end of the spectrum.Even when driven at 3A only marginal gains were had (10-15% approx), so out of the box its a solid performer.
Definetely worth the upgrade from the x2000 which uses the XR-E, its at least as bright but has about 4x the area of light output.(Comparing to a modified x2000 running XR-E R2 @ 1050mA)
If you need a zoomer - then get it, massive output & very functional zoom.Only fractional improvements (10-15%) can be had from replacing driver. It is 30mm in diameter as a minimum - so could be difficult in some applications.
  • Ultra bright torch, really small

    posted by thalesepalmeida

This is an incredibly bright torch, and really small, works with both 14500 Lithium battery and conventional AA batteries, a lot brighter with the lithium one obviously, certainly over 300lm.The zooming is good, a little loose, but stays still for hand use; on a bike it shakes a little. Good quality finishing, o-rings everywhere, good clicky switch.liked the 1 mode, on or off.
It is a small version of other torches with the same design, and really bright. fits protected 14500 batteries.
Realy good, bright and small torch
  • An excellent flashlight !!! recommended

    posted by Gui77lle

The flashlight is very cheap when compared to similar ones in the market -Extremely bright -The flashlight has a very long effective range, due to the spot in the middle of the beam -The flood is relatively bright too, enought to light up an entire room -The medium mode is enought when using as a bike light for example -The low mode is great for use indoors. Comes with a lubricated o-ring for water resistance -Feels very solid for its low price, good build quality -The strobe is quite fast, and very disorienting in the dark making the flashlight useful for self defense purposes.
-I was very impressed with the brightness when i first received it, but later realised i had been using a 3.2V battery, instead of a 3.7V one. The flashlight is extemely bright when using the 3.7V battery.
If you're looking for a good, bright flashlight for a low price, this is exactly what you're looking for. An excellent flashlight for a great price.
  • Small Sun - well deserved

    posted by cadocado

Incredible amount of light. This will win the 'who's got the biggest' competition for a while. If your eyes are used to normal daylight, and you shine this baby into a darkened corner, you don't need to adjust - it is as bright as sunlight.I am fairly certain it is waterproof.
It is so airtight that the zoom is sucked backwards because of air pressure. No kidding. It stays in place when I unscrew a cap, but with everything screwed on, the air pressure pushes the zoom back where it came from. This thing is airtight.
I like. This is the ultimate flashlight for the time being.
