  • Excellent light

    posted by rtagge

Lights an area fairly wide and still throws the beam a several hundred feet. good size feels good in your hand balanced
I don't care for the five lighting modes two that flash and three brightness levels. I can see where others would benefit from this but for me its a nuisance to cycle through. Another possible change I would like to see is the ability to add a lanyard strap.
The quality of the light far out weighs the extra clicks on the switch.

Nice size. Good wide light. Uses AA battery - general powersource. I had it with me making plan for security in one place. Small, easy to use! Clip seems to be strong.
Good work and feels good in hands. Looking nice and really easy to use whith headstrap. Maby could be good having extension for other battery..
If you need small flashligt to be kept in pocket, good option! I consider to buy another one, cause for it's size is really easy to keep with you.
  • Nice compact flashlight

    - Solid anodized theads- Thick O-rings of good quality, but non-lubricated- Compact- Nice design and build quality- Well done sturdy clip, may be reversed- Effective heat-dissipation (Led stands directly on alloy part of the head), flashlight becomes warm after 1-2 minutes in high mode
Lens fit only to XP-E diodes, remains some space and lens was dangled when I tried to install the XP-G led there
Cool host for custom flashlight, quality of built close to branded flashlights. Driver and switch are poor and ned need to be replaced. Recomend for its price, but need some modificatoins to get cool flashlight.
  • Good quality, very bright, a good buy!

Very bright, unbelievable for such a small flashlight. Every other flashlight I have pales in comparison. Seems almost if not copletely as bright with a single AA as with two AAs, so it must have a regulator: I hear a very faint buzz in some modes if I put it to my ear. I also got 5-mode flashlight. Turns on at medium (good, brighter even on medium than 12-LED head lamp), lightly tap on the tail clickie for low, then bright (oh, yes, it's bright all right), then flashing mode, then SOS mode (very slow, but who cares), then cycles back to medium. Very well built, has rubber ring seals on every thread, feels very solid. I have to say it's much better built than I expected.
Looks like the best bang for the buck from all the CREE flashlights here. Works on AAs (also accepts 14500 3.6V lithium battery - never tried that) - that's very convenient. I don't know why they make so many lights that only work with AAAs. They are so much more expensive.
  • very focseed beam!

Good build quality as im used with ultrafire flashlights. the LED is not one of the brightest but very focused. if you are looking for a small thrower you are happy with this flashlight. the beam shoots more far as other C8 with the much brighter XML T6 LED's that i also own...
its a small thrower in good quality, not too cheap, but worth the money.
the body doesnt fit with a fandyfire STL V6, if someon is looking for this kind of use.
