  • Amazing light with one little catch

    posted by squizl

    - It is awesomely, amazingly bright- Sturdy construction, with rubber o-rings at every screw point. The thing is built to last.- As a whole package, it's very cheap for what it offers- Inner electronics have a constant current circuit. That means brightness won't drop out as the battery charge goes down- It's a no fuss, all included set. I like that
    - Nothing in particular. It does what it should do, and does it good.
I'm very happy with my purchase. This is my first experience with CREE LED's, and I'm amazed by them.Still, I would be even happier if the focus was adjustable, so I could spread that blindness inducing light dot a bit.
  • Standard cree flashlight with too narrow beam.

Good craftmenship, nice and standard aluminum piece. The range of inner bright beam predetermines this flashlight for long distance use.Looks much more expensive.Definitely more than 350 lumens in the center of the beam, so bright!
Good buy if you want to use it outside, f.e. searching animals or intruders on the farm.
Good one if you want to see what that shadow in the woods over the field, useless for short distance.
  • Great drop-in

Very bright. Probably close to 600 lm. but I have no way to measure it. It's brighter than a UF 502b rated 900 lm. Very nicely made and the emitter is well centered. It has memory too.Fit perfectly in a Ultrafire C8. Even the reflector fit perfectly after I removed the small plastic washer from the back of the reflector. A necessity because the XM-L emitter is larger than the original. It popped right off though.I should also mention that the original module had a spring on the back, but this one doesn't. It still fit perfectly.
I bought it to replace the module in a light that has "next mode memory". The light has gone from my least favorite, to my most favorite single XM-L light.
A few dollars cheaper and I would have given it 5 stars for price. But still worth it because it turned an unused light into an often used light. I definitely recommend it to upgrade a C8 light.Very glad I bought it. :)

Very clear, very Bright.Low consumption. Very long battery life.I'm using it during my travel, and it work perfectly. It is very robust and the light is powerful. The range is very impressive, over 200 mt.Can be used indoor and outdoor; even with an adapter is suitable for biking.
I cannot stay without one of these at my home, in my car, in my camping car.I have one in my bedroom, and another in my box. Each of my cars are equipped with one of these flashlight
I reccomend this! I've purchased a lot of them for my friend and everyone is satisfied.

Very nice looking. Good build quality. Two O-rings on head and one on tailcap.Glass lens. Fit and finish are very good. No blemishes anywhere. 5 modes. Reverse clicky. It's an excellent "thrower," and should be good for long distance. It still has good useable "spill" light so you can also see things up close. 240 lumens is probably close to the actual output. It's pretty bright.
I see no good reason for next mode memory in a flashlight. I would have rated it higher if it didn't have this type of memory.
If you want a really nice looking light, that's anexcellent "thrower" and don't mind this type of memory, than for this price, it's a good deal.
