  • Better than the original

    1. Works fine on a 650MHz Pentium-III with 6MB video memory with WinXP SP3
    2. sku.14940 connects easily to increase reception quality
    3. No problems at all with the Dutch Public Broadcasting FTA channels
The 'Freedom' sign isn't there anymore. It now simply states 'HDTV USB DVB-T'. Even on my 10-year old laptop the video is smooth. Far better than the original Freecom stick, which most of the times produced stuttering video and audio.
Excellent value for money. And ideal to view the Worldcup Soccer in South Africa ;-)
  • Linux compatible, fantastic little device

Tiny little device, good quality tv reception here in New Zealand.
Contains ITE9135 chip (I opened it up) which has Linux support (see below)
To get working in Linux, you'll need to compile the ITE9135 driver. Very good instructions here:

Other useful information here once you have the drivers working for pre-tuning the channels and getting a channels.conf file for VLC

Good little device with linux support, included antenna useless but can just cut cable and connect to outdoor antenna for good performance.
  • Good one!

Small, like a pendrive (one of the first ones =P ).Do the Job! I turn my notebook to a TV...
Windows 7 recognize it well, although it came with the cd drivers ok.
It works and save me to buy a TV for my bedrooms. It's a shame that i can't use the remote. i hope, i can find and answer to this.
  • Works fine as SDR hardware

    posted by cpanek

works fine with SDR#, tunes down into HF spectrum. Have received FM broadcast, police and amateur narrow band FM, and Aircraft AM on it. RF gain is adjustable from -9 dB to +19.7 dB.
EZTV645 has the FC0013 tuner. I'm using it as SDR hardware. Mine tunes from 22 MHz to 862 MHz. Remarkably flat, with full scale input ranging from -46 dBm at 22 MHz to -40.9 dBm at 861.9 MHz, with the gain set at -9dB.
Works well as hardware for software defined radio. Can't beat the price.
  • Great gadget!

I use it to listen to DVB-T radios. The antenna works well even inside my house. Windows 7 found driver from online update but I installed the one on the CD. It comes with Blaze video software which has automatic scan for channels. The antenna has magnetic bottom so you can place it on you car's roof while watching TV on your laptop in your car.
    None.
It's one of the cheapest, it's very compact.
