  • IR controller for up to 7 devices, good buttons

Known chineese brand, good price (half of that in local shop), quality buttons - 100% response, works with 16 series of philips TVs, 8 series of sharp TVs, 12 of panasonic, knows 36 series of sony devices. Still no wear of printed symbols. Low power comsumption, red indicator LED.
Knows Siemens sat, Pentax VCRs, also Philco, Singer, siarem, Tai wah, Stern, Skygiant, Seleco, PYE, Quartz, Quelle, Optimus, Siesta, Tandberg...
I've bought it to control 2 tv's and sat and it just works. It even more convinient to press than on original philips remote. For this price i think about leaving some around the room. hundreds of models (3 digit codes), 50+ of brands including unknown ones. In my case some buttons are left on the original remote.
  • Great Product but be aware.....

Excellent product at this price BUT don’t make the same mistake I did: There is a very similar universal remote, also “Chunghop” brand available here on DealExtreme, (sku.2815).
The difference is that this model, (sku.2829) can only work the three appliances it is designed for and the sku.2815 is (said to be) capable of controlling up to 10 devices. As I was hoping to use the remote for my TV, DVD and HDV Recorder, that is the one I thought I was ordering, however….
In fact I bought three of them and at $5 each I’m not real upset about it. Gave two to friends who are happy with them and kept one for a spare if the original TV and DVD remotes die.
The quality of the product is every bit as good as any original appliance remote I have seen and having tried it on several different brand products, have not found one it won’t operate.
I am now about to order an sku.2815 or, after reading its' reviews, perhaps I'll go the extra few bucks and get a sku.04571. That will get rid of about eight items from my lounge table and control everything from the Hi-Fi, Air-con and the neighbour's garage door to the next space launch!
If you want one remote to do just those three jobs buy it, it's good value. If you are unlucky enough to have a brand that it can't handle, make someone happy. ;)
  • It works, but depends on signal.

Easy to install. Just put the CD, install drivers and software and plug the thing into your USB port.
Really works. Got 12 channels here at home, where I tried with an old stand alone receiver and got no channels.
Wish there were a way to make the antenna more powerful. Better: wish that brazilian government could make something decent for a change and make digital tv signal better.
Well, it does what it is intended to do. It's not the device's fault that the signal sucks so bad around here.
  • Watch DVB-T under linux.

    Works perfectly with Linux.
Kernel Module: dvb_usb_it913xNeed to install firmware dvb-usb-it9135 before use (For ArchLinux users: it is in the AUR repository)After installing kernel module, it shows up in tvheadend, adding frequencies for my country (the Netherlands) and scanning finds all the channels.I do not own a digitenne smartcard so I can only receive public and regional channels, but I have satellite tv for commercial channels anyways.
Fine DVB-T receiver for use with Linux
  • Works in linux, small, good value!

Excellent little device, very similar to another SKU I already bought on DX.
It's an ITE 9135 chipset so it does work in linux using a module you'll need to compile.
Picture quality and reception are good even with the tiny included aerial which has a nice magnetic base.
Works well in Switzerland and the UK (Freeview).
They're so cheap you could buy a couple of them and make a really great PVR with multiple channels recording.
Well worth the money. It's a really nice portable tuner to take with you when you travel.
