THIS IS AMAZING! extremely bright light! Beats up my friend's ledLenser lamps. Color of the light is really good. I will use this lamp to gig fishing. I'ts light to carry and it wont heat really bad. On/Off switch works nice and feels good. Easy to use different modes.
If you are looking for a super bright low cost lamp for gig fishing or you just want a bright ligh, BUY this!
Everything is better than you can think

VERY bright. Lights up a room better than wall-mounted lamps. Bright enough to be disorienting when aimed directly at a person. Very solid construction, heavy weight -- can be used as the perfect self-defence blunt weapon. Works with two or three batteries, which allows to shorten the length a bit if needed. The "strobe" mode is simply insane. Reasonable/good price. All in all very happy with the product.
Do NOT look directly into the beam of this flashlight!
Very good flashlight, would definitely recommend purchase if you have a practical application for a flashlight with such brightness.
  • Very bright, nice feeling, could be a bit sturdier

    * Very bright (not as bright as a Q5/R2, but still more than enough light)
    * Good form factor, not much bigger around than an 18650 battery, and a little longer. Fits well in jean or jacket pockets
    * O-ring to make it more water resistant
    * Multiple modes are useful (well, other than the strobe)
    * Battery last a long time on low mode with the 18650.
    * Would be nice if it were a little sturdier
I would recommend this one, but there is another version now that has the Q5 emitter and multiple modes that I wish was available when I ordered this one. All-in-all however it's a nice light.
  • EA4 Clone

This light is "sort of" an EA4 clone. It uses the 4AA format, but runs on 14500s. It has been priced to compete with the EA4. Overall it's on a par with the usual trustfire quality. If you like to mod, the pill can be removed and it's got a little more meat than the EA4 does. Output is about even with the EA4 on high (not on par with the EA4 turbo).
Consider this is just a light sale, the batteries are poor quality, low performance and the charger is total junk. The worst one I have seen and it was busted when I got it. Poor quality of inner components made it fail. DX, sell us just the light for $25-$30 and it's a good buy that way. Here's my review comparing it to the EA4:http://budgetlightforum.com/node/21964
It's not worth the price, considering the price of the Nitecore EA4. At $25 or $30 for just the light, it would be a good price and let us pick our own charger and batteries.
  • Sturdy torch, high quality

    - Compact- Sturdy- Bright- Glass optics- Good looking- Good finish- VERY good price- It screams "Mod me!!!"
I think I'll mod it, it's a very good host and I think it accepts P7 drop-ins. The tailswitch assembly can be easily taken apart unscrewing the inner washer. The clip is removable.
Very good torch for the price, recommended.
