  • One of those things you need

This little versatile 'thingy' is just one those things you need in your tool box. When you suddenly need it and don't have it, my guess is you'll be cursing and regretting not putting in an order for it.
The 'tube' seems to be aluminum, but the little 1/4" - 1/4" plug and the 1/4" - 3/8" inlay screw is made of another and heavier metal.
Small, lightweight and versatile - what's there to think about, just get one or two of them
  • Good for the price

Very good for small light weight lights and cannot be used for heavy lights. Good for the price. around 3 feet in height and folds to about 14 inches. Very portable.
Good for the price and must use for light duty work and very portable
I am happy with the purchase for whats it worth

    - Blue light is as bright as the white- Blue light doesn't scare fish/White light does- Great for attracting squid (East Coast of Australia) at night (either light works)- Light casing is strong- Long Battery life- Light floods enough to be useful- Water resistant
Personally I'd love to be able to easily get into and modify this light because it has such a nice big barrel and reflector size. I had to fabricate (not difficult) a plate screw-in so I could mount it to the side of the boat. Worked a treat once this was done. Great result over murky water and we were able to net squid from the boat with either light. The blue light attracted mainly small fish and the white seemed to scare them off making it easier to spot the the translucent squid and cuttlefish. Most fish swim over curious about the light and we didn't see many fish again after a first look. Also had a good result from shore, over a short jetty. Blue light attracted fish. It does not work like a magnet, just an attraction. Closer to shore the light attracted bugs as well, which meant the fish stayed around a bit longer.Works best really close to the water with as much down angle as you can give it. Don't expect instant results, but in densely populated waters like we have in Australia, you will get results.
It does what it says it does.
  • Good for studio

Its a very durable and solid tripod. It wont break even if you drop it. Looks like it can hold a lot of wheight. My flash fits perfectly with the adapter on and it can hold an humbrella easy.
Great adquisition for studio, but not for travel, because it so heavy. Also it doesnt have any carring bag or anything and it doent not fold much.
Shorter and heavier than i thought
